What negative effect does exercise have on the respiratory system?
Short Term The muscle cells in the body will use up more oxygen and produce more Carbon dioxide. The lungs will have to work harder to provide Oxygen and also remove Carbon dioxide. There will be an increase in breathing rate at the body will be trying hard to get as much oxygen as possible and to minimize the amount of oxygen debt. This will also happen after exercise as well as the body will have to repay the body's oxygen debt. Respiratory RateDuring Rest: 14 per minute During Exercise: 32 per minute Volume per breathe During Rest: 0.4 litres During Exercise: 2.4 litres Minute Volume During Rest: 5.6 litres During Exercise: 76.8 litres Long Term The muscles of the respiratory system such as the diaphragm and the intercostals muscles get stronger. This is so that they can make the chest cavity larger. Having a larger chest cavity means that you can also have a increased Vital capacity. This is because more air is able to be inspired. More capillaries are formed around the alveoli so that more gaseous exchange can take place and so that it is easier for it to happen. Gas exchange will also be able to happen more quickly meaning that exercise can be maintained at a higher intensity for longer.
After about a minute of hard (meaning makes you sweat) exercise your body has used all the stored oxygen so the respiratory rate increases. This is working the respiratory system so really the Diaphragm is having to contract and expand faster in order to force more air in and out of the lungs at a faster rate.
it makes your lungs have a larger capacity.
How does exercise help a respiratory disease?
A fast acting inhaler is the most common remedy for exercise induced asthma. Along with stoppage of stressful or straining exercising to help ease the pain of the asthma.
Answer2: You need to really pace yourself when exercising so that you do not get winded/short of breath and overexert yourself. Keep your inhaler with you at ALL times no matter what.
An increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration can lead to respiratory acidosis, where the blood becomes more acidic due to elevated CO2 levels. This condition stimulates the respiratory centers in the brain, causing an increase in breathing rate and depth to expel excess CO2. Prolonged exposure to high CO2 levels can result in symptoms such as dizziness, confusion, and in severe cases, loss of consciousness. Overall, elevated CO2 concentrations can significantly impair respiratory function and overall health.
Will you lose more weight walking on a treadmill or rollerblading uphill?
Rollerblading because your moving ur legs and it is more and your legs will lose calories and so will the other places on your body
One benefit of aerobic dancing is the workout you get from it. It helps burn calories and fat. Aerobic dancing also is great for flexibility, strength building, and improved endurance.
Probably because square dancing is probably the worst dance ever made. I remember having to learn it myself when I was in grade school. To tell you the truth, if you look into why square dance was taught in the first place, you will see that square dance was taught as part of a nation wide Anglo-Centric ciriculum that lasted into the early 90's. As you can see, school ciriculums have evolved greatly since the early 90's in order to take into account the cultrual diversity of our nation. Even school books have been revised. I remember being taught a US history that was painted so beautifully. Now, textbooks teach the real history, a history that shows the beautiful as well as the ugly. When dance is taught at schools, hip-hop, jazz, tap and many many more considered rather than a bland square dance. Most dance teachers now have several types of dances under their belt not just one. So as for your square dance, consider it lost only to be seen in country bars and redneck weddings.
Rebuttal to the above answer: Square dancing was never in country bars, you must be confusing it with a Bug's Bunny cartoon. This persistent stigma that SD-ing is all rednecks or drunks is one of the notions people that actually dance work hard to overcome. They never drink alcohol at a square dance, it's a family activity.
Square dancing that was taught previously in schools by teachers was as like square dancing as McDonald's is to real food, and thus turned many children off to the activity forever as evidenced by the above answer.
Gym teachers have no real square dance knowledge because their instructors had no real square dance instruction.
It is practiced all over the world and enjoyed by people in all professions - dentists, doctors, computer technicians, engineers. There are several levels of square dancing Basic, Mainstream, Plus and on to Advanced and Challenge.
Schools have shunned it ever since. It needs to be reintroduced as a wonderful social activity - something in short supply these days due to too much electronic distraction.
I dare you to google - Super Trooper Square Dance and watch the video called by Anna Johansson on you tube.
Why do Traditional Zulu have no knee problems?

Why would a 3 month post op heart bypass patient suddenly start to have water around their heart?
it looks like a ball
How do you do the dance Zumba?
There is no particular way to do Zumba. I take a Zumba class at my dance school and my teacher recently got her certification to teach it. But mainly it is rapid latin dancing with lots of cardio moves. You dance to fun pop music (basically whatever is out) and if you take a class with a teacher, they will get different routines from the company to do with you. You should try it, just remember to always drink water because it is very tiring!
How do you eliminate monotony at work?
Monotony stems from repetition i.e. people enganged in similar/typed/routine work. The strategies to overcome monotony can be - Job rotation, Job enlargement, Job redesign, Job enrichment. Engaing people in some games/excercises, off the job measures like - recreactional activity that some companies delibrately do to break the monotony - a programme delivered at resort , away from the work for couple of days and designed to help a person think for himself, his dreams, his potential - in nutshell discovering yourself. These measures would help employees in breaking the monotony, overcoming the fatigue and re-energising for a better focus and delivery at workplace. * himself/herself, his/her - no gender prefrence
If im skinny-fat so should i do cardio or build muscle?
Both.
Cardio will help reduce your body fat percentage, while weight training will help to increase lean muscle mass.
How effective is internal cardiac massage?
between 40 and 60 percent effective -
but the complications are horrendous.
Aerobic exercise is also called cardio exercise. This exercise is low intensity and focuses on generating aerobic or oxygen related energy.
Aerobic training is exercise that involves or improves oxygen consumption by the body. The word Aerobic means with oxygen. Along with using and improving the body's oxygen consumption, aerobic training also increases the body's ability to burn fatty acids during an exercise session. An example of an aerobic exercise session would be one that consists of a warm up, then a moderate level of exercise for an extended period of time that exercises the large muscle groups, and is then followed by a cool down. No matter what the type of exercise, it is important to know that aerobic exercise is very beneficial from fat burning to cardiovascular health and wellness.
Anaerobic training involves exercise that is intense enough to trigger anaerobic metabolism. It greatly increases the body's functional capacity for development of explosive strength and maximization of the short-term energy systems. An example would be non-endurance sports such as body builders using anaerobic training to promote speed, strength, power and muscle mass. This leads to greater performance in high intensity, short duration activities.
Several physiological responses the body will happen with aerobic training. A person's aerobic capacity will be higher. There will be an increase in trained muscle capacity which is from the capacity to utilize and mobilize fat that is resulting from high amounts of fat metabolizing enzymes as well as increased blood flow. The body also experiences greater development of slow twitch muscle fibers, increased myoglobin content which is essentially an iron-protein compound inside muscle that acts to store and transport oxygen to the muscle. Aerobic exercise improves the body's use of oxygen, thus increasing the ability to store it and transport it, which results in greater slow muscle twitch fibers.
A number of physiological changes exist with anaerobic training as well, and will show the large difference between the two and what benefit each one is. Anaerobic training increases the size of the fast twitch muscle fibers vs the slow twitch. Creates an increased tolerance to higher levels of blood lactate as well as increases enzymes involved in the anaerobic phase of glucose breakdown. Anaerobic training also produces increase resting levels of ATP, CP, creatine and glycogen content. High intensity weight training in sessions of 45-75 minutes will cause increased growth hormone and testosterone levels.
Because aerobic and anaerobic training focuses on very different results on the body, it is easy to assume there are many different adaptations the body must make if one were to choose to only exclusively train aerobic or anaerobic.
If one were to choose to do only aerobic training for over one year, you would see increased overall cardiovascular health. The body would adapt to using fatty acids for energy and would target the development of slow twitch muscle fibers. Those who choose to train aerobically are your typical 5k, 10k and marathon runners. Aerobic training will create endurance and those who train aerobically will be able to maintain exercise at a certain level for a longer period of time. What the body will not experience is a gain in overall strength. Aerobic training will not give a person gains in overall strength, power or explosive strength abilities. The body after a year has conditioned itself to utilize oxygen, burn fatty acids, and be an endurance machine. After a year, it would be hard for the person to attempt to try anaerobic training such as weight lifting. However, it can be done with the change of one's fitness goals and training.
If someone were to choose to do anaerobic training for over a year, the body would adapt to using glycogen as fuel instead of the fatty acids used in aerobic training. The body will use the training to develop fast twitch muscle fibers versus slow, as well as build muscle mass, explosive strength and overall power. The choice to use anaerobic training would allow muscle growth and fitness, but not overall cardiovascular health and no endurance. Body builders are your typical anaerobic training clientele. They have tremendous explosive strength and their bodies have adapted to a large amount of strength for a short period of time versus endurance strength over a long period of time. Many body builders use anaerobic training and no aerobic training and thus it's not uncommon to see an extremely fit body builder who cannot run/walk/jog for even ¼ mile as they have not had any aerobic training to build their cardiovascular health and endurance abilities.
You are 43 with 6 feet height and 240 weight how could you loss weight?
Yes, if you are healthy you should not have any problems losing weight at this age. It may be a little more difficult than for someone younger. The best would be to first check with your doctor to make sure your health is good enough to go onto a weight loss program.
Now you have to find a good diet that is balanced and calorie controlled and follow it faithfully. There are many options available online. Make sure it is not a fad diet. A fad diet can always be identified by the exceptionally small quantities of food you are allowed to eat as well as the fact that they normally forbid exercise while you are on them. The reason for this is that they do not supply you with enough calories to exercise safely.
Another way to recognize a fad diet is that you normally have to eat mainly one kind of food with very little variation.
Once you have decided on a diet that you think will suit you, the next step is to do some moderate exercise. If you are very unfit a brisk walk for about 30 minutes will be enough. Increase your exercise and the kind of exercise you do as your fitness level improves.
This is the only safe way to lose weight. do not fall for a fad diet, you will do yourslef no favors and you will only be setting yourself up for health problems!
What has no known function in the whole body?
Almost nothing. Science used to believe that there were over a hundred "vestigial" organs, left over from evolution, that no longer had any function. Today there are about three, and their functions are being debated.
Does insanity still work if you don't stick to the diet plan but don't over eat either?
You will still lose weight regardless of your diet plan as long as you burn more calories than you take in. However, you will experience slower results. However, everybody has different dietary needs and lifestyles so a "one-fits-all" plan is not necessarily the best thing. To make sure you really aren't "over-eating" I would look for a BMR calculator to calculate the approximate amount of calories you should be taking in for your height and weight. Then I would keep a food journal to track your food intake.
Some additonal "diet" tips are to keep your diet full of whole, unprocessed foods. You will find that natural foods such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains will not only keep you full, but will provide more consistent energy. Eat small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going, and drink plenty of water.
What if you can see your six pack when you lie down but not when you stand?
i believe that you might have a little six pack that needs to get bigger in order to see it when you stand up
hope this helps
Should you do cardio or weight training first?
No cardio before weight lifting is a bad idea. The reason for that is you want to do the hardest part and the most taxing part of training first. If you do cardio before weight lifting you are going to deplete your muscle glycogen as well as your energy and come to lifting already fatigued. Versus training when you're fresh and then finishing with cardio.
