How long does a CD to biodegrade?
No they are not. Biodegrable means that they will break down simply via the effects of the environment; sun, rain, etc., But since CDs are plastic I would think they are recyclable i.e. they can be mechanically broken down and remade into some other product...perhaps a water bottle.

How do you remove a stock CD player from 99 suburban?
alright, i have a 99 Tahoe, and its the same way.. what you gotta do is turn the key on.. but don't start the truck, drop your shifter all the way down to first (shifter likes to get in the way) and pull the dash cupholder out. afer this has been done you just pull on the front part of the dash and it pops off (no screws, just clips) then you need to unsnap the headlight switch.. pretty easy if you just look at it. (unplug the 4x4 cables if you have a push button 4x4 system) now the dash should be removed. there are two plastic clips that hold the stock radio in the covey hole. press these down while pulling back. the radio will just slide out. then you just unplug the main wire harness and the antenna.. and that's about it. you will need to get a size adaptor to fit a smaller deck in your truck. its a 1.5 DIN.. just go to walmart or a stereo shop and they'll hook u up with one. and instead of cutting your vehicle's plug off. get a wire harness adaptor. bout $10 and all the wires are labled. and you can just unplug your aftermarket and throw your stock back in if you ever sell this truck. and you need an antenna adaptor.. not sure what size it is.. but just go to walmart or a stereo shop.. tell em that u got a 99 burban and they can look it up.. if you want to sell this stock radio.. please email me about it.. the Tahoe of mine has a stock tape player... anyways my name is Rivers K and my email is rivbro91@gmail.com

Ford radio/cd removal:
There is a special tool that goes in the little holes you see in each side or the faceplate that depresses a clip inward toward the cd player body so the player may be pulled out. You can get it out without the tool by using two small stiff metal rods on one side at a time, and when you meet resistance try pushing outward on the rods (towards the sides of the car) to push the clips in the direction of the cd body while pulling it out. Repeat on the other side. It takes patience and it helps if you can see one already removed to see what I mean.

this could actually be a few problems. first just make sure you aren't hitting it with your knee or arm or something that may make the draw to open. if not it could be any of these you may have some DVD or CD player software on it. if so prehaps this key has a ejection function on it. if this is the case your most likely problem is that their maybe a hotkey attach to this function if so disabling it should fix it. prehaps your keyboard has a ejection function on it and if this is the case then its probablity the hot key thing again. remember a hotkey hasn't only got to be when you press one key it could be any one,two etc. for example shift+E. if none of these are the case it is possible that there us a loose wire inside it that when it hits the motor to move the conveyor out then it power's the coil which in turn creates a magnetic field which starts the motor and the draw opens. if this is the case have a look but its unlikly as if anywires a free it would be usual to be still working as there are very few inside a CD-ROM drive.

Is the CD a CD-R or CD+R? If so, you cannot reformat it. Once the disk is finalized, it becomes "read only" and there is no way to reformat because it is a "write once" disk.
Is the CD a CD-RW or CD+RW? If so, you can reformat it.
If one's laptop already has a USB port, a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card and hub are not necessary, as all USB devices can work in any USB port albeit sometimes at a lower speed .
However, for maximum speed, if USB 2.0 is not available on the laptop, the USB 2.0 PCMCIA Card can be installed.
All you need is a hub and that's assuming that you don't have a spare USB port on your system. If all your USB ports are used, simply attach 1 or more items to the new hub and attach the hub to the resultant free port. I recommend that you choose a hub with 4 or more ports - to allow for future upgrades or additions.
