There is only two possible answers for this question!
1). She is afraid of losing it, and or is one of those people that feels naked without their cell phone>
or
2). If she particularly makes sure to remove the cell phone from the room when you are around then there is a chance that she has some incriminating(extra-marital activities) to hide from you.
I don't know the situation, but would 95% of the time be willing to be that it is just second nature for her to always have her cell phone with her, but I will leave it up to you to decide.

( sounds like a Tarzan type, but isn:t) the lead character is the Aviatrix Lady Cynthia Darrington ( or Darlington) between missions, to make a long story short, she finds out she is pregnant. the crash you describe, yes it happens on screen and camera angles and shots clearly imply a suicidal intent. at a very high altitude- the flight was supposed to be a stratosphere record-breaker. She soberly disconnects her life support system and lets gravity take its course. This was a very controversial film in the depths of the depression, suggesting pregnancy of the wrong type motivating a suicidal ( accident) I don"t think the film has ever been shown on TV. the powers that be wanted to make an alternate (cleaned up) version where she comes out of the dive or the whole thing turns out to be a nightmare but the suicidal crash angle made the scene- and screen. a very sad and depressing film starring Katharine Hepburn as the woman flyer, and Colin Clive as Sir Christopher Strong, the title character.

- As long as you are single the first thing you should do out of courtesy is to talk to the friend's ex and explain your feelings and you would like to pursue the relationship. 'Ex' means the relationship is over so either your friend can accept the two of you will be seeing more of each other or you may have to walk away from that friendship. Other than being honest with the other partner in the picture there is no reason (only if you feel you both love each other) that you can't pursue the relationship.
