i am not onehundred percent on what motor you have, bu t a head gasket is a realativly cheap part, you can get a pait for under 75 bucks, unless your motor is an lt-1 in which i cannot even begin to know. the labor time can vary depending on if you pull the motor and trans, but it is a relativly easy job to do if you have the nesesary tools to get the job done. tq wrench, cherry picker, stack of wrenches....

There is no reset button. There is a relay in the relay center. I found my relay in 1993 under the dash by the glove compartment. Ther was no relay for fuel in the relay compartment under the hood.

on an 89 rs you will need to pop the hood, just right of the master cylinder/brake booster the is a black box, the fuel pump relay is hidden behind it. mounted to the firewall.

i dont fully understand your question but ill give it a go. to disable the vats(the system that requires your key to have that thing in it) i believe your going to need a new prom chip.

RS on a Camaro is for Rally Sport. This was an option on the first generation (1967-1969) Camaros. This was for the hide-away headlights, different position of the back-up lights, and some different engine options. This became a model in the later generations also with some different options.

the torque specs arent the same for all malibus....every other year is different. the 2002 Chevy malibus are:168 inch pounds-then rotate an additional 30 degrees...hope this helps. make shure the pushrods are centered and bolts are finger tight before cranking them down or else you'll bend the pushrods.

Hi, I have a 1988 Chevy S10 pickup truck with a 2.8L V6. I want to add a tachometer to the piller pod I have. The tachometers I bought thus far wont work as the directions the units included were of no help at all. I tryed toe connections on the coil and the distribater, no luck. NOW WHAT ?? One of the tachs was a digital, no luck with this either. I would like to know what to do. Thank you for your help Mike Souza

The O2 sensor did the trick. Thanks, you rock! I would suggest you have your O2 sensor checked. It sends a signal to the ECM on how rich to make the fuel and it appears yours is sending the wrong signal. Once the O2 sensors get carboned up, they work even worse. If you look at your exhaust manifold you should be able to find the O2 sensor screwed into a threaded bung. Unscrew the O2 sensor and take it to an auto parts store that tests them.........or just buy a new one and install. If it is the original O2, I would say 15 years and how many miles may have taken it's toll on it.

Resetting it is a manual process,independednt of doing the service. In fact, it can be reset without doing service. Refer to maintenance manual for how to reset. Generally has something to do with a combination of ignition key position and pressing other dash/odometer buttons. why did it throw the code in the first place ?

Probably R -12, but you need to get your car converted to 134-A because they don't sell R-12 any longer.

Check the backpressure on your exhaust system. Often, when the catalytic converter fails it can produce this symptom. A local muffler shop may do the check for you for free.
