If it is just the driver side window and button, more than not the master control switch needs to be replaced. It could also be the window moter or reg. Either way its around $100 if its just the switch that's bad.

I have a manual 96 Mazda Protege, with the parking break located behind the shifter. The adjustment bolt is located right next to the parking break on the left side (drivers side) of the parking break handle. you will have to remove the rubber cover around the parking break shaft in order to see the bolt.

Drain the water from your 1997 Chevy Monte Carlo cooling system. Remove the water supply hose. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. The thermostat will lift out. Reverse the process to install the new thermostat.

i don't know for sure man, im looking for exactly the same thing. I also have a 06 Chevy impala with a v6 3.9 litter engine. Im guessing you want to install that resistor performance chip. I purchased that chip myself and on the installation instructions, i have found out that you have to look for a two wire plug. I have looked under the hood and i think i found it but im not sure if its right. Its located on the far left side near the edge around the same are where the battery is. Im too scared to do anything but if you want to try it and see what happens be my guest. Dont forget to disconnect your battery first before you try anything.

I have Chevy Venture too. Engine service soon sign will definitely bring some troubles later related to Engine heatup specially in summser season. Right away go for the engine tune up which is not cheaper than later you are gonna pay after your engine will heatup and cease. Change all the filters with oil channge and specially throw out the plugs it already had and change it with new Bostch plugs to have better performance. Overall Chevey Venture is a fabulous van I have ever driven or seen before.

On the impala, just below the windshield on the passenger side you'll see the black cowl that covers the lower portion of the windshield. You'll need to turn on the wipers and stop them in the straight up position, then raise the hood. Remove the weatherstrip just below the cowl, as well as the washer fluid lines. You'll need a flathead screwdriver to remove the 3 fittings holding the cowl down. Once the cowl is removed you'll see the cabin filter tucked under. Then it's as easy as removing, reinstalling and putting the cowl, weatherstrip, and washer lines back in place. Also, it's common on the Impalas for a small peice of weatherstrip underneath the cowl to fall off. This can cause rainwater to leak into the passenger compartment so be sure to secure it back on the metal lip just above the filter. If it won't stay you may need to use some sort of RTV gasket silicone to secure it. That's about all there is to it....

the fuel filter on any make or model of domestic and most froeign cars is very simple to replace. it is usually located on the drivers side of the vehicle and is about 3/4 of the way to the rear. usually you will need only a crescent wrench gloves and goggles. make sure you wear the protective gear because gas can not only blind you but can also burn your skin. the fuel filter loos like a can of soda with a pipe at either end. purchase the new one first as to get a reference to what it looks like. first you will loosen the end closre to the front of the vehicle (away from the gas tank). then standby with the fuel filter. as you take it off varying quantities of fuel will begin to flow out of the car. quickly swap the two and tighten starting with the side closer to the rear of the car. in about ten short minutes you will have improved fuel performance. note: a lift is usually used at most auto shops and is more quick and effective. if you have trouble, most fast lubes do it for about 25 dollars.

This job is only easy if the filter has been changed in the last year. If not and you are in an area that is corrosive, it can be a problem. The end of the filter that has the flare nut will rust. If so, you can strip the nut trying to remove it with an open end wrench. I bought a 16mm crows foot from Northern Tool and wrapped a stainless steel band hose clamp around it so the open end of it couldn't spread. That way you can apply a lot of torque to the nut without stripping it. Please note that Northern Tool will sell you one crows foot so you don't have to buy the whole set. By the way this car is a Chevy Lumina or Impala.

What year after like 80s you cant!! If it is a late model it is a unibody meaning there is no separate body and frame. It's all one unit.

You need to get a fischer body manual on your car. Surf a little to find one. There are several places out there that have them.

if its the same as a 2000 impala, it is the hazard light switch. You will have to remove several screws from the dash cover on each end, on the top of the intrument panel, and a few under the dash. Take your time and slowly pull the cover off, if it seems to be stuck, check for another screw where it seems fastened. If there are no screws, then it is clipped in place and a firm pull will release it. The switch itself is mounted into the panel and all you have to do is disconnect it and pull the plastic holding pieces out to clear the tabs on the switch. It pops back in, snap the dash panel back in place, and put the screws back in. It is about a 1/2 hour job....... According to the Chevy Dealer it is the same as the 2000, in behind the emergency flasher unit in the dash as stated by the previous writer.
