Why does the Heater only blows cold air when car is idle on my 2006 Impala?

check your coolant level in many models the heater core is in the highest position in the water jacket. It your coolant gets low many times a bubble migrates to the heater core, when you raise the rps or are driving around (same thing) the coolant rushes through the water jacket at a much higher speed warming the heater core produceing heat. The other option would be a lever or vacume actuated heater controlled valvel that is spring retun to close, A problem can arise if vacume driven if there is a leak or low vacume the valve will close completely or somewhat. Most likely its low coolant and if you have not adjusted it in a short ammount of time you will blow your head gasket or gaskets or crack your heads costing big money.

2002 Chevy Impala with a low oil pressure what to do?

Before we look at causes of low oil pressure, a couple of suggestions. Make sure you are using the correct weight oil and the correct amount. In this vehicle it is more than likely 5w-30 and 4.5 or 5 quarts. Also remove the filter and install an AC/Delco filter. The AC/Delco is a highly rated filter and is all I would use in a GM vehicle. Make sure to use the correct filter. There are many causes for low oil pressure but the most common is engine wear. As the engine wears and gets sloppy, the pressure will drop. But this is a gradual process, it doesn't happen all of a sudden. If the oil pressure loss is sudden one, then we have to look at the oil pump and pressure relief valve. It is possible the pressure relief valve has some junk holding it partially open or the spring in it is weak or broken. Only taking it apart will reveal the answer. But before I do any of that, I would use a mechanical pressure gauge and get an accurate oil pressure reading. It could be a bad oil pressure sending unit or gauge giving you a wrong reading. If there is valve or engine noise when the pressure drops, then chances are it is a pump problem. One thing that will help is to use a heavier oil in the engine, say 10w-30. This won't cure the problem, but it will help for a while until the root cause can be determined.

How to remove rear speakers from 2008 impala?

The whole back parcel tray comes backwards with the seatbelts still connected through it. Fold down the back seats and open the boot. look up inside the boot under the parcel tray and through the holes in the cars frame, unclip the black wire clip attached to the rear window brake light. Now you should be able to get back in the back seat and lift the parcel tray slightly and pull it back towards yourself. Then use a short stubby screwdriver to undo the two screws holding the speakers in place. That's the easy part lol, does anyone know why the left rear speaker has 8 wires connected to it?? Why are there more wires on the left than the right, well the CD changer and the amp are both located on that side of the car, so the wires go pass the left speaker not into it.

This is assuming you have an Audi A4 1999 T reg facelift model (B5), other models may have slightly different removing methods.

First, you need to remove the rear base seat panel, this is clipped down and just needs pulling up to remove.

Second, you need to remove the rear back seat panel, remove the head rests, remove the head rest brackets by using a large flat screwdriver to jimmy the sockets out of the seat.

Then remove the two 10mm hex bolts holding the back on underneath the bottom of the back panel (made visible by removing the base seat panel) Then the whole back panel of the seat lifts up and off the 3 metal hooks holding it onto the back of the car.

Third, open the boot and disconnect the rear brake light plug which shows through a little whole in the metalwork to allow you access to the light. Then remove the rear parcel shelf by pulling up the front plugs (there are three along the front lip of the parcel shelf) then pull the parcel shelf towards and upwards to you to unhook at the back, move the parcel shelf downwards over the back of the seat threading the seat belts through to allow you access to the rear speakers.

Fourth, use a little screwdriver to remove the screws to the speakers and unclip the wires.

Replacing the speakers is a reversal of these instructions.

These instructions also allow you access to the rear brake light and rear seat belts if needed.

The speakers that come with the A4 are powered speakers that have a base speaker built into the back of the standard panel. This is why there are additional cables going to these speakers. You will also need an ISO adapter to connect a third party head unit to the standard leads as the standard fit stereo has power sockets and extra sockets which are unique to Audi and these speakers. A pain but it makes the stereo less desirable to thieves and reduces your insurance group I suppose...

How do you install fog lights on a 2005 base impala like the ls?

you must set up your own power source for your fog lights most people use the cars battery directly and set up an inline toggle switch. The reason for this is because every lighting componant on the car has its own fuse relay if you put the load of foglights onto one of those relays you will blow one or two fuses. So they must be ran seperately its not hard to do and its fun running and hiding your own wires, good luck to all of you.

How do you install an aftermarket CD player in a 1992 Nissan Pathfinder?

This is a fairly easy task to complete. First The original radio is the same size as a lot of different aftermarket radios. I never did this, but I changed an aftermarket radio for another in a 92 pathfinder. It is fairly easy to get behind the radio by removing the piece of plastic that is on the floor, and tat is just some screws and clips. You can also easily remove the trimming around the radio looking for the same steps. Once that is done, just remove the wires from the back of the radio, look for any srews on the front of the radio and try to slide it out. When you have a new radio, make sure you get the wireharese also for this vechical. Conect the harense to the wires that come with the new radio, and attach that to the clip that is in the pathfinder already. THis is were you have to read the instrctions that came with the radio since they have a few methods of holding them in, but generally it is a metal cage type of thing you slide into the old space the radio was in, bend a few tabs to hold that in, then slide the new radio in making sure to conect all the wires and the cable for the antena (an adaporter comes with the harnes that you will need to use so make sure that is conected all ready.) Once it is all conected and almost done, test it and make sureit works. Once it works finish it off by makeing sure the radio is locked into place and puttin the two pieces of trim back on. Please make sure youtake all safety precautions, like disconect the battery, and make sure all the wires are in good condition and all of this stuff Also sorry for the general instructions, but it should be enough to getyou through this.

How do you exchange the body control module on a 2001 Chevy Cavalier?

The best thing to do is to buy a BCM from the GM dealer and he will programme it for your specific vehicle, in your case a 2001 cavalier. I have the exact car, same year and I also need a new BCM. I'm picking one up at my local GM dealership for about $240Can. that includes the BCM and the programming. Hope this helped, and good luck.
