You're going to have to take it to the shop. They have to hack in to it. Unless you're trying to steal the radio, It's nearly impossible to get the code.

Starter is between the radiator and engine. It mounts to the transmission bell housing with 2 bolts that are accessable from the bottom but i believe first you need to remove 2 inspection covers. black plastic from the bell housing. The starter also has the battery wire connected Large and the solenoid wire small. Remove these wires after disconnecting the battery.

I drilled a small hole (3/32 in.) in the lower corners of the headlight. This allows the standing water to run out and any remaining moisture will evaporate out on it's own. If you're careful, and drill your holes at an angle (aim your drill up, not down) you won't even see them.

I have a 98 corolla, and my air bag light flashes almost all the time. I had it checked, and the mechanics told me that it was for the passenger side air bag, they said that there's something faulty and the air bag on that side wouldn't go off in an emergency like it's supposed to, and the only way to make the light quit blinking would be to put in a new air bag which would cost over $1000. I chose not to because I rarely have anyone else in the car besides myself, so nobody usually rides on the passenger side. I think they said it was a "short" or something. However, I've found wires under the passenger seat and sometimes when I jiggle them, the light will stop blinking. Sometimes it will stop blinking too when I move the passenger seat all the way back. I think there's something loose down deep somewhere. Anyway, even if I can get it to stop blinking, it always comes back eventually. I've just learned to ignore it. This probably didn't help much, but hope it answered some questions.

The best way is to do a compression and/or leak down test. If it's overheating in a fairly short amount of time it's probably a bad gasket or cracked head. Using antifreeze without any visible leaks is a good indication.

If the brake lights do not work on Chevy Venture van 2000, try to disconnect the brake switch. Then short the two contacts of the connector to check if the brake lights are now working.

If you do not know that a 2000 Chevy Venture does not have a distributor cap then you probably do not have the enough mechanical knowledge to work on this vehicle. the car has 3 separate coils that fire the spark plugs, very difficult to get to unless you have arms and hands of a small child. to access the coils the car manual procedure tells you to 'pull' the motor forward. assuming you are doing a tune-up on the car, pulling the motor forward will also have to be done to change out the rear three spark plugs. if want to attempt this the procedure, it is in any repair manual for a 2000 Chevy venture otherwise it would be prudent to have a competent mechanic do the work, this will save you two days and will not need the aspirin for the headache you got when you began this process. this will however will not be cheap as this car is difficult to work on.

Leave it to the pros you have to key the cylinder when it is replaced and it involves tiny springs and tumblers if you mess up you key will not work
