What should you include in a babysitting flyer?

You might wish to take a course in Babysitting then you can post it on your ad that you took it. They also offer CPR training as well as first aid courses. Another thing would be anything special you would plan to do during babysitting. Some do crafts, have story time, organized play time. And then the most important would be is your contact information.

Oh, almost forgot, may wish to mention that you have references. IF you have not babysit before, you can use personel references. Best of Luck to you, Jennifer

How much should you get paid for babysitting three children for two hours?

It really depends on your level of experience. If you're a more experienced sitter, you can charge more. For some advice, you can ask other people that babysit and see how much they would charge. Average what they say, and that would probably be just about right. If you don't know anyone else who babysits, then maybe you could ask your parents what they think.

How much should a 13 year old babysitter be paid per an hour for one kid?

You should really only get payed like 5 bucks an hour because you are young and have no qualifications yet.

How much money does a babysitter make an hour?

i would probably offer around 5 to 10 dollars...it also depends on who u are babysitting

The above answer seems to have been submitted by a child/teen. Babysitting, like any variable time job should require being paid on an hourly basis or on a lump sum basis that accounts for time, travel, etc.

I don't have stats, but a babysitter should get paid around $10/hour at a minimum. This would be for basic "stay at my house while my kid sleeps" services. An active sitter that runs errands, entertains, cares for well being of child should expect more as this is a skilled, specialized service.

5 bucks is well below minimum wage, and is simply ridiculous. No ones time is worth that little, especially when they are responsible for a family's child and home.

The hourly rate for babysitting varies widely. I came across one woman who wanted to pay $5.00 an hour for someone who would not only watch her kids but entertain them. I've also known babysitters who've taken care of several kids for $12-15 per hour. One resource you could check that offers upscale, background screened babysitters is http://www.elitefamilycare.com
Hi,

I saw your post and wanted to show you this tool. It's the Care.com babysitter calculator. It basically averages the pay of all the sitters in your area (by zip code) based on the number of kids.

It may be a good starting point to start negotiations!

Good luck!
I am pretty sure that the average babysitting rate in Ohio is 8 dollars.

Do you have to have a certificate to babysit?

Depends what kind of caregiver you would like to be:

ECE - Early Childhood Education

DSW- Disabled Support Worker

PSW- Personal Support Worker (also known as Healthcare Aide Worker)

Those are just a few to mention and each has varying lengths of education.

Can you babysit when you are 10?

its possible but really you have to be really good with children and have to know everything about them. also you have to check with the parents to see if you can be a baby sitter for their child. they will see is you can change a diper, feed the baby correctly, be very carful with the baby. stuff like that ya know? they also have to see if you can put the to bed correctly. does that answert your question?

** Yes, as above it is possible. There are classes that you can take that teach you the basics of infant care. There are also classes that you can take in first aid and CPR. These classes are required for being a child care provider. With your graduation from these classes you get a certificate that you can show baby parents as proof of your skills as a provider.
No, the minimum age is 12.

What is a babysitter?

How old do you have to be to babysit other peoples children?

13 is the generally accepted age. However, this is just a guideline as their are many other factors to consider (age of kids being watched over, any state laws, maturity of sitter). In most cases, it is up to the discretion of the parent.
9 years old seems far too young, even for an intelligent and mature child.

Is babysitting a good job for a 12-year-old?

a twelve year old can be a baby sitter, but maybe not for people you don't know, like if you do it for your neighbours it is fine or for your parents. but otherwise it is a little bit dangerous.

Im curently babysitting a 10 year old boy who is still in diapers what should I do?

he has no mental or physical issues and i know its none of my business but i just want your guys opinion's.

How many kids can you babysit when you are 11 years old?

I believe none. I think you have to be at least 12 years of age to start watching somebody else's children.

Well,I wouldn't let 11 or 12 year old watch my children though...

How old do you need to be to babysit?

well... it really depends on how responsible you are, NOT how old you are.......but normally you should be a teenager.

well i know a girl that is 11 and responsible and people already asked her to babysit for them welll can she babysit at 11 in Canada ? and the corse is like 4 months until she actually turns 12 so could she ?

I think most people allow people at least 12 to baby-sit, but yes, it does depend on your responsibility.
You can be a mothers helper at 11 or 12. It depends on the children. I started babysitting at 11 with 3 kids. It all depends on responsibility. Young baby sitters get payed less. At 13 my auntie babysat an 8 year old so i think you should take some classes just to prove that you are trustworthy enough to look after other peoples offspring. Even your own brothers and sisters. You should make sure to keep the kids in you sight at all times and don't spend most of your time on the phone!! Hope this helped

Is it leagle to babysit without a license and be 13?

I started babysitting a 6 month old baby when I was 13, but I was under supervision for the first 3 months. Then six months later I was watching two infants at a time every now and then because the mother of the baby I was watching told other parents how good I was watching her baby.

So, a 13 year old can babysit, but I suggest starting off with babysitting one child at a time with supervision until an adult feels comfortable leaving the 13 year old unsupervised. They must be disciplined, responsible, and mature enough to be able to care for another child especially infants and toddlers.

Can you be 12 and babysit?

You would have to look at the rules for your state, for most states it is legally 14. You can still babysit at twelve though if you are comfortable with it and mature enough.

thank you

How much would a 12 year old get babysitting in Geraldton?

depends on how much experience he has ...when i was his age i started at 5 dollars an hour...but he can prolly get 6 bucks if he keeps his head up straight. Seeing as I was twelve two years ago I wouldn't say that you can charge very much. Twelve year olds really aren't that responsible and connot be very experienced in babysitting. I would say the most you could charge is $5.50 an hour you should start lower, at about $4.25, and gradually increase. Twelve years olds won't be trusted as much a fourteen or fifteen yearolds so many people would rather pay more for teens with more experience. I started out babysitting for my 3 younger brothers when I was about 10 or 11 years old and worked my waty to my cousins when I was 12. I think it depends how trust-worthy you can be. For example, if you are the youngest in your family or you are an only child at 12 years old, I think you might be a little un-trust-worthy because you don't have any experience. If you are the oldest and have younger siblings, I think you are pretty trust-worthy. Here is my answer to how much you should charge- Have younger siblings/ you are the oldest- $5.00 an hour + $2.00 ( if you are cooking)= $7.00 per hour Only child/ youngest- $4.00 an hour = $2.00 ( if you are cooking)= $7.00 per hour The response before is completely incorrect. It depends on experience, not age!

Are 12-year-old kids allowed to babysit?

How do you become a babysitter?

To get started in babysitting try the following: 1. Check your community learning centers and see if they have an Introductory Babysitting Certification course. Often an inexpensive investment ( maybe $20 dollars ) they can teach you , how to handle emergencies, "tricks" to entertain and control young kids, and give you the confidence to start babysitting! A certificate in First Aid is also a good idea, it will show future clients that you are serious about babysitting, and a prepared to take care of clients children. 2. If you have younger siblings and you often look after them when your parents are out, you already have experience in babysitting. Use this as an example when offering to babysit for others. 3. Offer to babysit for family like Aunts and Uncles, etc. Give them a free night and then if they like what you can do, start charging for cash!! 4. Once you have some experience, make sure your neighbours know that you are starting to babysit. Once you can babysit for neighbours, word of mouth will definitely work to your advantage, as you can get good recomendations from previous customers. Hopefully this will get you started!!! Good Luck!
