How do you replace an alternator on a Citroen?

Without being more specific as regards the year and model, it is impossible to offer more than a general answer. But let's have a go. Lift the battery terminals so you can work on the electrics safely. Get some masking tape and put it on the wires connected to the alternator. Label them with numbers or something. Then make a little drawing showing where they go, and then you can take them off. This is important. Find the bolt, nut or whatever fastener allows the alternator to pivot. The alternator pivots so that belt tension can be adjusted. Loosen that guy just a bit. Then find the fastener that prevents the alternator from pivoting, and remove that. Then you should be able to remove the belt from the pulley. Pull the bolt on which the alternator pivots (the one you loosened) and remove the alternator. Hook up with an auto parts store to get a replacement. If the unit is an "oddball" and you can't find one relatively easily, call around and find a shop that rebuilds them. There may be one closer than you think. Get your new or rebuilt unit and use the reverse process to install it. You'll have to get a "pry bar" or something to put some tension on the belt before you tighten the last fastener to lock the alternator in place to hold that correct tension. Put your wires back on the way they came off, and hook your battery back up. Work safely at all times. Good luck.

What does the following mean suggested pressure of the rear tire is 7 to 8 atmospheres?

An atmosphere is a measurment of pressure with one atmosphere being equal to the air pressure at sea level, approximately 15 P.S.I. 7 to 8 atmospheres would be approximately 105 to 120 Pounds Per Square Inch of pressure.

Im guessing that tyre is a typo and is supposed to be a "tire" of some vehicle. Anyway the suggested pressure is the ideal pressure inside your rear tires. 1 ATM (or atmopshere) is the standard atmospheric pressure at sea level. Just look up the conversion rates online between "ATM" and the units of measurement on your tire pressure gauge. Some of these units might be kPa (kilo pascals), torr, or mm/Hg (or millimeters mercury).

a good answer is here: http://www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk/citroen/index.php?showtopic=4485 "Now that is the final bit of the jigsaw. Change a main bulb in a citroen c3?

I presume you mean the Head light bulb

Headlight Dipped beam Bulb H7

Headlight Main beam Bulb H1

Check this link to see photo of clip holding the bulb: http://citroenc3owners.com/citroen-c3-tips/topic4.html

Requires lots of patience and time as vision and access is restricted. Open the cover of the headlight by undoing the clips. Detach the connector (wires) of the bulb. Then put your fingers inside to feel for the spring/clip which holds the bulb. You need to press the clip to release and then the bulb will come out. Good light and a small mirror will help to locate the clip. Replace the bulb, push back the clip to hold the bulb and push back the connector with the wires. Close and seal the unit properly otherwise you may get condensation and water inside the headlamps. This is for Headlight dipped beam bulb

For the Main beam bulb , once you disconnect the connector (wire) of the bulb press and disengage the bars/clip to release the bulb. Replace the bulb and press to engage the bars/clip to hold the bulb and then continue as above.
