You need a video card(s) designed for multiple monitors. NVIDIA and ATI both have video cards specifically designed for multiple monitor set-ups (i.e. financial trading). The NVIDIA Quadro NVS line and the ATI Fire GL line are the ones to look at. The NVIDIA Quadro NVS 440 can handle up to 4 monitors, so you would need two video cards for 6 monitors. It's not a good idea to try these cards with Vista yet...stick with XP until the drivers are more mature. I have a NVS 440 with Vista and it is unstable. I have a NVS 280with XP in a different computer and it works great. Personaly I have never tried to connect 6 monitors to a computer. You can set yourself a maximum speed limit... if you exceed this you will be notified. You can activate/deactivate this function using the button on end of wiper stick. Contrast ratios on televisions screens get better and better with each model that comes out. Unfortunately, there are many ways of measuring contrast ratios and claims of ratios like 1,000,000:1 are using some very creative measurement techniques indeed.

Contrast ratios are affected by many factors including ambient light levels, image content, production techniques during editing and more. While a high contrast ratio suggests that you will see whiter whites and even blacker blacks, the numbers really don't mean a great deal compared to your own eyes. Before buying, make sure you look at televisions and decide for yourself just how white and how black the image gets. More importantly, look for detail in the very light and very dark parts of the image. Rich blacks with some detail in the darker areas is good and the same for very light detail. Your own viewing will give you a far better comparison between two screens than the numbers ever can.
