Monitors Anywhere software uses HDMI over LAN - so that one computer can display onto many screens that are not connected to the computer by a display cable, but are connected with LAN cables. So you do not need to have a computer behind each monitor.
But you do need in addition to the software, HDMI over LAN hardware. This hardware replaces the conventional graphics card of a computer.. Also HDMI to LAN hardware from different manufactures cannot be installed on the same computer. The type of hardware also limits the number of monitor that can be connected.
