I don't have an answer but I do have the exact same monitor with the exact same problem. It's not the cable since I tried connecting it analog instead of digital and that didn't work. It's not the video card since I attached a different monitor to the computer and that monitor did work.
Does the green power on light stay lit(with the VGA cable hooked up with a signal)?
If so, the is a problem with either the inverter board or a bad backlight on the LCD.
I have the same problem with an AG neovo 17" monitor - on vga and BNC inputs it
only displays for less than a second before going blank. - clearly given our similar
experiences, this is some sort of defect in the monitor - an engineer from ag neovo
should sign up and enlighten us.
The problem is a defective internal power supply board. If you disassemble the monitor and examine the power board you'll find leaking capacitors (usually) or other out-of-spec part. We're just a computer repair shop.
Why click safely remove hardware icon on USB flash drive?
When you plug in a USB drive, you give your PC free reign to write and read data from it; some of which is cached.
Caching occurs by not writing information immediately to the USB device, and instead keeping it in your PC's memory (RAM). If you were to yank the USB drive out of your PC before this infromation is written, or while its being written, you'll end up with a corrupted file.
However, Windows automatically disables caching on USB devices, unless you specifically say that you want it enabled. For the most part you don't have to click the 'Safely Remove Hardware' button, if you aren't writting or reading anything from the device.
Its there simply as an extra level of security preventing you from destroying your own files. Doing so causes the files to close "gracefully", preserving data, pointers and file size indicators. When writing to disk the computer doesn't always "flush" a buffer and only part of the data may have been written. Using the proper procedure will assure that the data and pointers are in good shape.

Wha is a monitor's normal refresh rate?
This depends on the type of monitor and who makes it. I like to keep mine around 75 but the higher the better, as long as it is stable.
Does an LCD monitor use emitted light to form an image?
Yes and no.
Here is the "no" part of it:
LCDs have three tiny liquid crystals for each pixel of the image. One is used for red, one for green and the other for blue parts of the image. The crystals change character when a voltage is applied and using polarising filters they block or pass light through them. The crystals themselves do not emit light.
And for the "yes" part:
The image that we see is created by lights behind the sheet of liquid crystals. When a crystal passes light, we see it glowing. Obviously, the whole system uses emitted light from the back lighting in order to work but the light source is distinct from the image generation.
The back light has been fluorescent lighting but in 2010 there are now many models using LED illumination. The LEDs are only used to produce the light source and do not take part in the creation of the image details. LED illumination is allowing screens to be come even slimmer than other LCD displays. They are often referred to as LED televisions but the description is not entirely accurate.
There is a new generation of LED television now available. These use LEDs to create the image by emitting red, green and blue light from each LED. Because there is no additional back light source, an LED television does use directly emitted light.

Can you legally take a computer monitor to Cuba as a gift for a friend?
Per US export regulations, no, a monitor can not be taken as a gift to a person in CUBA without a specific export license; such export license would most likely be DENIED. Cuba is an embargoed country and there is a general policy of denial for all exports to Cuba with the exception of certain humanitarian goods such as food and medicine. Computers and Monitors are listed commodities on the Commodity Control list of the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR) 15 CFR Part 730 to 774, especially reference part 340.12 (a)(2)(1), license exception GFT for Gift parcels and humanitarian donations. "(2)Prohibited commodities. (1) For Cuba, no commodity listed on the Commerce Control List may be included in a gift parcel."

How do you fix a gateway laptop when the screen is cracked?
I managed to swap a damaged LCD within 1 hour - all by myself :)) The worst to do was to align cables around the screen and also that little metal bar on the top was slightly difficult to mount back but it went smooth after all. Here is the site for the installation instructions
I did this install on a big rig recently.
I used a swing out tv mount with latch back feature from a local electronic shop.
I then built a suitable support for the swing out and one for the lap top
When done the lap top was secured to the dash, pull a little release string and the lap top mould slide and swing over to over top the shifter for convenient use.
I would guess there are systems available for this if you don't want to build your own as I did.
