What does electromagnetism have to do with galvanometer?
A galvanometer is a simple meter that detects the flow of current.
A current flowing in a wire causes magnetism around the wire. This is called electromagnetism.
Like poles of a magnet repel and opposites attract.
The Galvanometer uses these principles in order to move a pointer across a scale.

How do you convert dynamic contrast to contrast ratio?
I'm an engineer, I've been researching this for sometime. The simple answer is it cannot be done, however as we like to do in my field we will give something approximate and conservative to go on. From what I've read and seen if you are being told dynamic contrast ratio it is likely 1000 to 2000 times the static contrast ratio. The multiplier will be different for EVERY brand comparison, but should general fall in this range.
Replace a battery on Casio 1846 W-71?
The battery of my Casio 1846 W-71 was dead, so I tried to replace the battery by myself.
First, you need to get a hand on a CR2016 3-volts battery. It could cost you 5$ or 10$, but I got 5 of them for 1.50$ at an electronics discount store...
Get a precision screwdriver, remove the 4 screws. Be careful when you remove the cover, there's a tiny spring. Remember where it is, then remove it. Remove the watch from the shell.
Using a flat mini screwdriver, remove the cover that holds the battery. You'll need to unclip all 4 corners. There are centers to unclip too, not sure if there was 2 or 4 of them.
Remove the battery, place the new one. Clip the battery cover back, and put the watch back in the shell.
I closed the cover. The watch was showing time, buttons were working, but no sound at all. Looked on the Internet, and read that you need to short circuit it.
Look carefully, there is a label "AC" near a small hole. (Inside the hole you'll see the gray spike of a welding). Just touch something metal inside the hole (e.g. the welding spike) and then touch the positive (top) side of the battery. Put the cover back in place, press a button and listen for the beep.
Screw the cover back in place.
It seems that your watch is not waterproof anymore after you open the cover. It would certainly not resist 50 meters underwater anymore, but I wear mine in the swimming pool without problems.

How much is Triple Play 96 for the Sega Genesis worth?
Depending on whether or not it's "complete"(with box and manual) and its overall condition, usually anywhere from $0.25 to $5.00. It's a sports title, and they never carry their value unless it's some sort of special edition like Madden Championship Edition, a Blockbuster-exclusive title for the Sega Genesis.

What is the value of a 1995 telecaster serial MN4131637 in excellent condition?
The MN says it was made in Mexico.....New Mexican made tele can be bought for $350-$400.....and regretfully Mexican made guitars don't appreciate like American ones. May be worth $300.00 if in as good shape as you say.
How do you puncture a light bulb?
With great care. The standard light bulb is comprised of a continuous glass housing. The only thing that goes through the glass are the two wires that provide the current pathways to the inside of the envelope where the filament is. To create a hole in a bulb requires a lot of patience, a lot of care and the use of some sort of abrasive tool to grind the hole. Though it might be possible to create a hole by actually drilling it, it is improbable that one could do it without ending up breaking the bulb. The glass isn't that thick, and because the surface is round, smooth and hard, it would be exceedingly difficult to get the drill bit to bite (start). A very small rotary abrasive bit in a dremel tool is probably the best bet. Eye protection is a MUST and hand protection is strongly recommended. Oh, and you are being warned up front: be very careful about what you do with your light bulb with the hole in it. Aiight?
Datasheet:

...is no really a transistor, is a micro-power voltage regulator. "CZ3.3" means 3.3 volts, 2950 is the model. According with the datasheet, replace it with a LP2950CZ-3.3
...the funny looking "N" is the logo of National Semiconductors ;)
What is the voltage of a D-cell battery that is wired in parallel?
Any number of fresh D cells wired in parallel will yield a voltage of 1.5 volts.
Does a battery have a recharge memory?
The NiCad or nickel cadmiun battery develops a "memory" of its duty cycle (called - surprise! - "memory effect") if it is used in a "pattern" for a while. If, say, a 2-way radio is used only a few minutes a day over a number of days and then put back on a charger after each use, it will "remember" this. If an attempt is made to use the radio for more time, the batteries just "drop dead" and the radio is unusable.
What causes squeal or noise in a sound system?
A loud "squeal" or "screech" - also known as "feedback noise" - is usually only generated if there is an audio input device for an amplifier, for example a microphone, that is being used too close to an audio output device for the same amplifier, for example a speaker.
Can using a cell phone harm the environment?
Using a cell phone during your daily life does not in itself harm the environment. Cell phones use radio waves at very low power to communicate and have never been proven to have an affect on humans or the surrounding envirnoment.
The biggest impact on the environment comes from the manufactor and eventual disposal of the cell phone, the battery and other accessories.
When did the first talking movie premiere?
The first movie to feature a synchronized talking soundtrack was "The Jazz Singer" with Al Jolsen in 1927.
If something has a greater viscosity, it becomes more 'runny' compared to its original state when heated up. The greater the change from thick to runny = the greater the viscosity. So honey has a greater viscosity than water for example.
Why do AA batteries lose charge?
We know that AA batteries (or any others) lose charge because energy is taken out of them with use. The chemical reactions that generate the voltage occur, and this "uses up" the energy in the cell. This is the long and short of why batteries lose charge, and you can see it if you think it through. We can also see a situation where a cell loses charge when stored. No materials are perfect insulators. And lengthy storage, or storage under improper or poor circumstances will set up conditions under which leakage current could discharge a cell. Plain and simple.
When measuring an unknown voltage with a multitester or analog VOM you should first?
Go to highest scale on AC range
What is the most important Electronic discovery?
It's a rather subjective question, but I imagine the most common answer would be "the valve" or "the transistor."
What is a point-to-point channel?
Medium that connects two devices with directly between them and enable communication between them without any interruption.
Can compare with Multidrop channels where multiple devices can communicate using a single channel.
