How do you get rid of slanderous blogs about you?

The best you could hope for is to sue under any available slander laws and have a court issue an order for the deleting/removal of the blog. If they award sufficient damages it may be enough motivation for the blog author to not repeat the slander. Note that you have to meet the legal requirements to prove slander before you can win such a case. Occasionally you may be lucky enough that the web service hosting the blog will take it down for you if you contact them and complain, but that's the exception.

Is Cignalspy a SCAM?

Cignalspy is a SCAM! I encourage every one to file for a refund. Yes, it's only $30.00, the effort to recover the money is hardly worth the time, and besides Cignalspy's "Terms" clearly states, No Refunds, will prosecute, yadda yadda. Cignalspy is counting on this phioosphy in order to bank your bucks. They are making millions of dollars (probably billions), one $30.00 scam at a time! I had the same attitude until I started reading the plethora of complaints against Cignalspy (See the below websites). Also, I found a statement from Cignalspy's Public Relations Officer, Mike Mohan that clearly states "...100% money back guarantee to unsatisfied customers..." I sent a cancellation & refund request to Cignalspy's billing department as required but never received a response. Go Figure. Anyway, I will attach the refund statment with my charge-back request to Master Card. (Statement below)

Those seeking a refund may want to submit the below correspondence when filing disputes and charge-backs from their credit card company.

Cignal Spy Customer Service

Hello,

I completely agree with you and your readers on the matter of customer service. When our company first started we only provided services to private detectives, law enforcement, and bail bondsman. Just recently (this year) allowed our services to go public and because of this we hired a third party company to handle most of our support department. Last month we discovered that this 3rd party support department was not answering queries in timely manners, at times not answering at all, and not correctly assisting our customers when they did respond. This is completely unacceptable. After the administration department had received complaints we investigated the issue and as of June 26th we have parted ways with this support agency. We now handle our customer service in house and are now hiring a large customer support team and will be adding live phone support as well as the current live chat support to make sure our customers are helped correctly. We greatly apologize for the inconvenience.

We do offer a 100% money back guarantee to unsatisfied customers. Any of your readers that are unhappy with the service or believe they have been scammed can contact us via email: billing@cignalspy.com

Kind regards,

Is it illegal to sell new goods that you've purchased from a retailer for a higher price on eBay?

It's not illegal, no, but it's also not a strong business plan. If you could find the items for cheaper before trying to resell them, your potential customers can do the same.

Do genetically modified foods and cloned foods need stricter regulations and labeling?

They most certainly do! Neither GMO nor cloned foods have been thoroughly researched to know what effect they will have on the enviroment, animals, and humans. However, if the information I am reading is correct, and I believe it is, if you are purchasing your groceries from a regular supermarket or grocery you are already buying "genfoods"(foods with GMO ingredients in them) and have been for several years. I think that might be the reason the FDA won't address the issue of labeling for GMOs. If the list I have is correct, there wouldn't be any processed foods, as well as some produce, meat, and dairy products, that would not have to have their GMO ingredients listed. On the other hand, if that is right, why list them? Just assume they all contain GMOs and start buying groceries at a health food store. Okay, so it might be more expensive, but it's either that or be Monsanto's (and other companies) guinea pigs.

With a patent and copyright protection can a seller charge what ever they want?

Copyright protection does not in any way lead to arbitrary pricing.

In the case of Patent there is a sort of monopoly granted to the person. However, he/she cannot charge arbitrary price.

The reason for this is that a patent is granted to protect the inventor. But at the same time the patent must be worked upon and the general public must be benefited from it. In case the patent is not worked or public is not benefitted out of it at reasonable prices the patent may even be revoked or a compulsory licence may be granted.

How do I fight Walmart's Asset Protection if wrongly accused of shoplifting?

I highly doubt you were "falsely" accused. The policy for asset protection is to only apprehend you, if they have 110% proof. However... I believe everyone makes mistakes, ask that they show proof by present the video footage for that date/time.

What is done with the costs of complying with the consumer protection regulations?

Government regulations are needed but they add to the costs of complying with the regulations. Most often this results in a higher price for consumers. But that is not always the case. Companies benefit all around by cutting the costs of production with new technologies. These cost savings can at times offset the cost of regulations.

Is bundling legal?

Yes, bundling is generally legal in many jurisdictions, as it involves offering multiple products or services together as a package, often at a discounted price. However, it may raise legal concerns if it violates antitrust laws or is deemed anti-competitive, especially if it restricts consumer choice or harms competition. Specific regulations can vary by country and industry, so it's important to consider local laws. Always consult legal expertise for detailed advice on bundling practices.

In Connecticut, the statute of limitations for auto lease agreements typically falls under the category of contracts, which is generally set at six years. What are the disadvantages of the consumer protection act?

The Consumer Protection Act can lead to increased costs for businesses due to compliance and legal requirements, potentially resulting in higher prices for consumers. Additionally, the act may create a burden on courts with an influx of cases, leading to longer resolution times. Furthermore, some critics argue that overly stringent regulations can stifle innovation and competition in the market, as businesses may become more risk-averse. Lastly, not all consumers fully understand their rights under the act, which can limit its effectiveness in providing protection.
