That depends largely on where you are and what condition the rest of the car is in. Whilst the beetle is a classic car, there are well over 20 million of them, so they don't generally have any real value. The 1970 beetle sedan was a great car, but it's much less valuable than a (factory) convertible one, or a beach buggy, or any of the older models pre-1967. In most parts of the world it's easy enough to buy a good running one for a couple of thousand dollars, so a broken down wreck is only worth a couple of hundred. If it is in mint condition except for the non-running motor, it could be worth a little more.
