Is it possible to work during medical school?

I would say absolutely not. Personally, I study from when I wake up to when I got to bed every day (besides holidays, and even then I'm studying for the boards). I here though that the M.D. curriculum is much easier than the osteopathic school curriculum, as they do not have to spend time doing OMM... Class goes from 8am-5pm most days at my school. Each lecture hour of non-OMM requires about 2-4 hours to study, and then weekends are devoted to review. I usually get about 4-5 hours of sleep every night (or day), but there are certainly days I stay up for 30-48 hours to get through the material or study for a test. I just don't see how its realistically possible in an osteopathic curriculum. Now, the M.D.s I've heard usually go from 8-12, so you might have a little more free time. But, then again, remember you're trying to be a good doctor, and from M.D.s and D.O.s alike, as well as being a patient through out my life, usually the better doctors are D.O.s. But, that's a very general statement, and up to personal opinion. All I know is we have additional courses on top of the M.D. curriculum.

Is a state exam required for Radiologist?

If you are referring to a medical doctor with a specialty in radiology, then all States, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories license physicians. To be licensed, physicians must graduate from an accredited medical school, pass a licensing examination, and complete 1 to 7 years of graduate medical education. Although physicians licensed in one State usually can get a license to practice in another without further examination, some States limit reciprocity. Graduates of foreign medical schools generally can qualify for licensure after passing an examination and completing a U.S. residency.

M.D.s and D.O.s seeking board certification in a specialty may spend up to 7 years in residency training, depending on the specialty. A final examination immediately after residency or after 1 or 2 years of practice also is necessary for certification by a member board of the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). The ABMS represents 24 boards related to medical specialties ranging from allergy and immunology to urology. The AOA has approved 18 specialty boards, ranging from anesthesiology to surgery. For certification in a subspecialty, physicians usually need another 1 to 2 years of residency.

If you are referring to a radiologic technician then, federal legislation protects the public from the hazards of unnecessary exposure to medical and dental radiation by ensuring that operators of radiologic equipment are properly trained. Under this legislation, the Federal Government sets voluntary standards that the States may use for accrediting training programs and licensing individuals who engage in medical or dental radiography. In 2007, 40 states required licensure for practicing radiologic technologists and technicians.

The above in part was retrieved from the U.S. Department of Labor; Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Is starving yourself good or bad and in what why are they good or bad?

Bad. By eating, yes, your body does indeed store fat, but when you don't eat, your body thinks it is in danger of starvation and when you do eat, your body holds dear to every single little piece of energy it can get a hold of. This will make you grow "larger." It will store the fat. Really, if you want to lose weight, eat and exercise. Starving yourself will make your body dysfunctional. Eat up!

What can you do when a doctor owes you a refund because the insurance also paid and the doctor refuses to refund your money?

Answer

Each state has a medical board where complaints are filed. Go to your states government website (usually ends with .gov) to find the form. Also, complain to the BBB about this doctors office. A doctor doesn't want a complaint to show up publicly so he will want to settle this.

AnswerSend a copy of the receipt to the insurance company and they will adjust to pay you instead of the doctor.
