What will cause 1988 dodge truck to overheat?

There are several possible causes, I list them from cheapest to most expensive. Of course overheating may be caused by one or a combination of many of these possibilities:

1) Low coolant level

2) Bad radiator cap

3) Bad Thermostat

4) Collapsed/bad hoses

5) Bad fan clutch

6) Bad/bent/damaged fan blades

7) Clogged radiator

8) Bad water pump

And the worst possibility is: Its just too darn hot out. My W100 works just fine, even with the A/C on up to about 115deg. At that point it can overheat when idling with the A/C on. I've replaced most of the parts listed. Now I just don't drive it when its over 115 deg, and that solved the problem. After all, its an old truck.

Where are the torque bolts on a 1993 Olds Cutlass?

Torque is not the type of bolt but a type of wrench used to tighten bolts. A torque wrench will tell you how tight a bolt is tightened like 60lb of torque or tighten to 80lb of torque so a bolt will be tight enough to stay in but not too tight that you strip the bolt.
