A Dodge V10 will bolt right in wherever a Dodge small block V8 (318/360) will bolt in. Swapping a V10 into a full size half ton Ram is actually pretty simple, since it's got the same chassis wiring harness as a 3/4 or 1 ton. Now a Durango/Dakota obviously has a different chassis wiring harness than a full size truck, so wiring the V10 harness into the Durango is going to be a challenge. You -might- need a custom oil pan, too. And you'll have to use heavy duty springs, because that engine is very heavy. Also, the engine is longer, so you might have issues with fan clearance, and front accessories. Should run like a scalded dog if you do the swap, though. The V10 trans will not bolt to a V8 engine, and vise versa.

Just to answer the question "Why" I do not know it could be anything from filters, vaccum hose, plugs & wires, map sensor,o2 sensor, a bad ground wire connection, FPR etc. the list could go on. My suggestion is have a diagnostic test done it could save you a lot of money.

the bulb could be blown or a bad connection. find out if there is a current al the way to the bulb socket.

Buy a new one. very costly though. I'd also suggest putting epoxy aound the plastic pieces for more strength, $100 plus is a lot of money because a tiny platic cable guide breaks. just make sure the epoxy doesn't interfere with the movement of the cable

There was no 1997 Dodge Durango. They were'nt out until 1998. Hope this helps.

Generally, there is moisture in the car and it is condensing inside on the windshield. This could be due to getting in the cab during rain and the moisture evaporating from your clothing is condensing. Much less common is a leak in the heat exchanger that allow moisture into the cab area. Had one instance where the heater core on my Ford Ranger leaked coolant into the cab as an indoor fog. Weird.

yes it would work depending on how badly the sludge has built up. i would recommened you do the fulsh and then change your oil every 1500 to 2000 miles or 2 months which ever comes first. Keep doing that until the oil is clear after you add oil.

Find your fusebox and see if you can find the fuse for the auto door lock mechanism. Just pull the fuse out and it should take care of the problem.

5 quarts I think but am not 100% sure. Change oil & filter. Add 5 quarts, start the engine and run for 1 minute, shut down and wait 30 minutes. Check level and add if necessary. You now know for sure.

You have to do the same what you do when replacing the timing belt. But you will need also to remove the timing belt gears and completely to remove the timing belt protection cover. After that you will able to replace the water pump.

The heater control valve is located under the hood on top of the passenger inner fender near the firewall. It has a wiring harness going to the rear of the valve and has also two coolant hoses attached.
