Electricity is the movement of electrons from an area of high concentration to another area of lower concentration. In a generator, a collection of wires surrounds a rotating magnet, pushing and pulling electrons back and forth through the conductive metal in wires. This is known as AC or alternating current electricity like you would find in your wall outlets. It moves in one direction and then another, alternating directions 60 times per second (or 60 hertz) in a standard USA wall outlet with 110 units of electric pressure known as volts. If the pressure is allowed to flow through the circuit, then the number of electrons passing through is measured in amps. The work produced (light, movement, heat, etc) is measured in watts (calculated as volts times amps).

If electrons are chemically stored in a battery, then the electrons will want to flow from the negative side (where there are more electrons) to the positive side (which has less electrons) in one direction. This is called DC or direct current electricity. When enough electrons have flowed from the negative to the positive and the number of electrons in both sides of the battery is equal, then there is no more pressure and no more flow, resulting in a dead battery.

To get your electricity turned on in an apartment, contact the local utility provider or energy company in your area. They will typically require your personal information, apartment address, and may need to schedule a service appointment to activate the electricity. Be prepared to provide identification and pay any required fees or deposits.

If there is no electricity in my house, I would first try to determine the cause, such as a power outage or a tripped circuit breaker. If it's a power outage, I would contact the utility company to report it. In the meantime, I would use flashlights or candles for lighting and consider alternative ways to stay warm or cook food if needed.

As well, many if not most storage cells (batteries, especially the first ones made) are based on dissimilar metal plates/rods immersed in a fluid solution, or "juice."

It's still common to hear someone say that electricity "flows" from one place to another.

If you pressure washed the house and now some of the outlets don't work I suggest that the house didn't "run out of electricity", but you probably got water into one or more of the outside outlets. Most outlets on newer homes are equipped with a special breaker called a "Ground Fault Interrupter" which is a device that is intended to keep YOU from being shocked. The GFI is probably reacting normally to the wet condition and will probably function normally once the water has evaporated. Wait until you think everything is dry then try to reset it again.

Hard to say, probably not much. It would depend on whether it could actually enable your central unit to catch up and shut off. If the window unit were sufficient for the room you want to have cooler, so that you can close the door and the A/C register, and raise the setting on the thermostat for the rest of the house, that could help. If the reason the central unit is running so much is that it needs maintenance or replacement, spending the money on that rather than the window unit is what would give you the best payback on your power bill. If your A/C is 15 or 20 years old, it was inefficient to start with and has gotten worse. A new, properly sized, high efficiency unit can pay for itself surprisingly quickly.

replace seat switch Most of the time its the little worm gear that went bad not the switch (the gear is slipping on the fixed bracket) I pushed back on the seat real hard and hit the switch and Mine went back finally, the track/motor assembly will have to be replaced(250 from Ford) Very Common problem

tRY YOUR LOCAL AUTO GLASS STORE. The best replacement windows are from BMW. There is a person who sells replacement convertible windows on ebay. I have used his products with success on E30 325ic but never tried his windows for the E36 325. local auto glass buisness was able to cut the old plastic out and instll new plastic, much cheaper than a whole new roof.

You will need to remove the door panel first. In a '99 Bravada, there are a total of three screws to remove. First, remove the screw behind the door opening lever and remove the plastic cover that hides the internals of the door. Then, there are two screws hidden below the handle on the door (the handle below the locking tab/door opening lever). At this point, everything else is held in place with plastic clips and you will literally have to rip the panel from the car. Be careful so you don't break any of the clips if it can be avoided - it won't matter if you break one or two, however. Pull slowly and finesse the panel off and carefully set it aside.

Once you're into the door, you will see a black vinyl membrane that serves to block wind and dampen sound. It is held on with black silicone for the most part (you can replace that later on), however it runs under the speaker housing that is held in place with rivets. When I did this job, I just cut the membrane with scissors and patched it with duct tape when I was finished (I didn't feel like drilling out any more rivets than I had to). If you want to take the extra time to drill out the additional rivets, go for it.

At this point, you will need to remove the pane of glass and set it safely aside. It is not easy to get the glass out, but wiggle it enough and you can get it. It is held in solely by friction. There will be four rivets holding the motor in. You will have to drill these out to remove the unit. Be very careful at this stage, as there are sharp metal edges inside the door that can give you a nasty slice. I recommend a quality electric (not battery-powered) high-speed drill with carbide bits for this part of the job - or even an angle grinder if you happen to be skilled at using one in tight spaces. The rivets are NOT easy to remove, and you won't have a lot of room to work with. After the rivets are removed, you can slide the motor and regulator out. DO NOT drill out the spot welds holding the bottom rail of the mechanism to the door panel. This is permanent and should never be removed - just greased with a decent lithium or other automotive grease. The rest of the mechanism should slide right off the rail. Be sure and vacuum out any metal shavings from the bottom of the door.

Once you have the old parts out, just work backwards to put the new ones in. Because you drilled out the factory rivets, you'll have to find suitable nuts and bolts to mount the new motor (which should be no problem at all). This guide also applies to the Chevy Blazer, Chevy S-10, and GMC Jimmy for the same year, as they are identical vehicles in this respect.

Overall, this is about a 3 - 4 hour project (this is taking into account that it is enormously difficult). If you aren't up for it, take the vehicle to an auto glass place to have the work done.
