You need a tube, a coil of wire, a magnet and a capacitor to store the charge.

Because they are connected in series. Lets say you have a flashlight that holds 2 D cell batteries. Each battery puts out 1.5 volts. Connect them in series and together they put out 3 volts. The flashlight is designed to run on 3 volts. A electronic device that uses 4 AA batteries is using 6 volts even though each battery is only putting out 1.5 volts. Connected in series you add to the voltage with the addition of each new battery.

It actually as thread on it therefore it should just twist off. In all honestity though, the flash light will actually hinder your game then help. You cannot see it during the day, and at night it gives away your position.

A light bulb and a flashlight are the same basically. However if you`ve ever looked at the front of a flashlight ( dont do this when its on) you will see that the front is mirrored. So a does actually shine light in all directions but the mirrors reflect the light so as to send it forward where as the light from a light bulb is unobstructed.
