First and formost, what engine? i4 for a v6?

First, you should flush the system. You may use a rad. flush if you want. Follow directions. Then, with the engine cool, drain the coolant in the rad by removing the lower rad. hose, dispose of accordingly. Then open one of the heater hose cnx. at the fire wall. Stick in your garden hose, and turn on the water. This will flush the heater core and the lines. Then stick the hose in the upper rad. and flush the rad. When done, put back the rad. hose with the clamps, but just put the heater hose on loosely. There will still be water in the engine block so use pure coolant for your car. Check with the auto parts for the best product. With the '96 you cannot just fill the rad, you have to add the coolant in the reserve tank, so fill the reserve to the top, gravity will send it into the rad, start the engine, with your heater on high, and continue to add till full. As the engine warms you will have an air lock in the system. To remove the air lock with engine at operating temp. open the heater hose slightly, and I mean slightly. Be care full, open a few seconds at a time, air and coolant will come out and it will get hot, also the coolant will drop onto the exhaust and smoke, try not to breath the fumes. Do this a few times till both heater hoses get hot, then check the heater, should be good and hot now, if not, bleed the system again. Always be sure to top up the coolant reservoir all the time. When finished, put back the clamps to the heater hose, and check for leaks. This is the only way to bleed the '96 of air.

It's above the oil filter, sort of towards the passenger side of the car. It's very difficult to see, and even more difficult to get to. At the very least, you'll have to remove the filter, and probably other parts as well.

The drain plug should be located on the passenger side of the radiator. It is a small nut, usually white plastic.

The car is normally in overdrive. When you press the button the left side of the gear shift, a light on your dashboard should come on saying O/D OFF.

The 2.5 L Duratec engine has two timing chains so yes, it's interference. They usually can handle 200k miles though. If it breaks, it is likely smashed the valves.

The filter is located under the vent grille, directly in front of the windshield on the passenger side of the vehicle. Purchase a new Purolator filter and it will more than likely come with instructions, but just in case it doesn't here are instructions. (1) Turn off the ignition switch while leaving the wipers in the up position. (2) Open the hood and properly secure it in the open position. (3) Gently pull the rubber cowl seal away from the cowl vent screen. Place your hand underneath the right half of the cowl vent screen and lift straight up, thereby releasing the four spring clips and removing the right half of the screen. (4) Remove the water shield. Carefully disengage the two water shield locking tabs and slide the water shield toward the front of the vehicle, lifting the water shield up and away from the vehicle. (5) Remove the Passenger Compartment Air Filter, being careful not to allow debris or loose components to fall into the filter housing. Replace the Passenger Compartment Air Filter with a fresh filter and reverse the above procedures to reassemble the vehicle components.

Some people mistakenly change the harmonic balancer or the timing cover, without matching it up. Some had a timing mark located at the top center of the timing cover, and some were off to the side (between 1 and 2 o'clock) If you have a mismatched balancer & timing cover, you will not be able to line up the marks. Sometimes the rubber goes bad, and the outer ring of the balancer slips... which would cause the timing mark to move.

Generally speaking, modern computer-controlled engines don't have any idle adjustments. It's all supposed to be controlled by the computer. If the engine won't idle properly, then there's something wrong and it needs to be checked out by a mechanic.

Ford uses special spring-loaded disconnects on the fuel lines from the tank to the engine, because the fuel pump is in the tank, and the lines are pressurized to a fair amount of pressure. There are special disconnect tools available from any auto parts store, but before you go yanking those lines loose, you need to relieve any trapped pressure from the lines. If you don't already know how to properly and safely do this, I strongly recommend you take the car to a professional.

That would be EXTREMELY unlikely that any rear window regulator would fit in the front window, same side or not.

When a vehicles engine is maintained as recommended you will have a longer engine life. There will also be less repairs over time, and the fuel mileage will be higher.

You must remove the spindle a get to the bearing .The bearing is pressed into the spindle,this is not an easy task, removing the spindle involves disconnecting or removing brakes,tie rod ,lower ball joint,ect

Remove the driver side panel remove loosen the three bolts holding the motor in place, lower the window by hand till you can see the two bolts that hold the window to the raising/lowering mechanism remove the bolts completely, then reach up from bottom and squeeze the bushings out the window sit on a ledge on the raising/lower bar which is entirely plastic... be careful not to force anything or the window will shatter the power window motor and cable should be replaced unless the trouble is just the motor but if the window moves even a little the trouble is likely in the cable system that is part of the motor assembly. It is located in the main fuse box which is in the engine compartment.
