Why does water come from the egr valve on 2004 ford escape?

Water coming from the EGR valve on a 2004 Ford Escape could indicate a few potential issues. One common reason is condensation buildup in the exhaust system, which can occur during normal operation, especially in colder weather. Another possibility is a coolant leak, which may allow coolant to enter the exhaust system if there's a head gasket failure or a cracked cylinder head. It's essential to diagnose the source of the water to prevent further engine damage.

Where exactly is horn fuse for 2006 Ford Escape?

The horn fuse for a 2006 Ford Escape is located in the engine compartment fuse box. To find it, open the hood and look for the fuse box, which is typically near the battery. The specific fuse for the horn is usually labeled as "Horn" and can be identified in the diagram on the fuse box cover. If you're having trouble locating it, consult the vehicle's owner's manual for detailed information.

How do you fix the load error on a 2006 ford escape CD player?

To fix the load error on a 2006 Ford Escape CD player, first try removing any CD stuck in the player and turning off the vehicle for a few minutes. If the error persists, check for any debris or damage in the CD slot. You can also attempt to reset the system by disconnecting the car battery for a short period. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the CD player may need professional repair or replacement.

What is the correct antifreeze for a 2006 ford escape?

For a 2006 Ford Escape, the recommended antifreeze is a hybrid organic acid technology (HOAT) coolant, specifically a 50/50 mix of distilled water and Ford's Motorcraft Premium Antifreeze/Coolant (Yellow), or an equivalent that meets the specifications. It's crucial to avoid mixing different types of antifreeze, as this can lead to corrosion and system damage. Always consult the owner's manual for specific recommendations and ensure compatibility with your vehicle's cooling system.

How do you open a stuck 2009 Ford Escape liftgate?

To open a stuck 2009 Ford Escape liftgate, first, check if the vehicle's battery is functioning properly, as a dead battery can prevent the liftgate from operating. If the power liftgate is unresponsive, try using the manual key in the liftgate lock or pressing the liftgate release button on the key fob. If those methods fail, you can access the liftgate's inner panel by removing the interior trim to manually release the latch mechanism. If the problem persists, it may require professional assistance to diagnose and fix any underlying issues.

How do you fix the cruise control on a 2001 Escape?

the abs/asc (automatic speed control) fuse in the driver kick panel.it is 5 amp fuse third one down from top.works abs & speed control (cruise).this is my guess but not totally sure.

I checked all the fuses on mine; all were good. I removed 3 - 5/16" nuts & removed engine cover (top). Found the end of the cruise control cable connector (cheap plastic) had worn through, letting it separate from the throttle stub it connects to. (No cable hooked up?, cruise won't work) I put the connector back on the throttle knob, drilled a small hole in the end of the plastic connector & dropped in a small clip pin (a small cotter pin will work too) in to lock the plastic piece & prevent it from sliding off during acceleration. This in no way affected linkage, etc. & holds the cruise cable connector to the throttle where it belongs. Check this, it's easy to find, & might save you the $40 for a new cruise cable. I have pictures if you need the fix. Good Luck

You need to re-bore the existing holes or drill new holes. :) Simplest solution: Use self-threading screws slightly larger than the original screws.

Why do the high beam lights work but not low beams and the high beam indicator stays on 2001 ford escape?

Most likely its a bad low-beam bulb or a fuse issue but I'd check the sockets/harnesses for corrosion, check the high beam switch, check wiring for shorts. See sources and related links below for bulb information.

Bad oil leak in ford escape 2005 its coming from the oil filter gasket housing is that hard to fix and is it expensive to fix?

This may or may not be the solution for you, but check this out for starters. Some oil filter gaskets are not well bonded to the filter, and as a result, when you remove an old filter, sometimes the old gasket will stick to the engine. If you don't notice, and install a new filter while the old gasket is still stuck there, the new filter will not seal properly and you will have a serious leak. If this turns out to be the case for you, simply remove the old gasket, inspect, and reinstall the new filter with its own gasket. If the filter's gasket looks damaged, or deformed in any way, you're best off buying and installing a new filter. (My personal opinion and advice: don't waste your money on cheapie filters, they're not worth it. Stick with a brand name you trust)

93 Lexus ES 300 idles rough when idling or stopped at light?

I own a 98 Lexus ES 300. I struggled with the same issue. The problem was the EGR Valve. It is an emission part. The total part and installation was around $300.00. It was a little expensive, but it cured the problem and have not had any problems since then. Hope this helps. Mark

What cause a Rough idle in 70 DEGREES OR BELOW weather in a 2001 Ford Escape?

We have a 2001 ford escape. It would idle horrible in the morning when it was cold, but would run much better when it warmed up. After a year of problems, cylinders misfiring ect, and part after part change, we finally changed the upper and lower intake gaskets and the problem seems to be fixed. Starts up good as new. The worn gaskets didn't seal properly causing the misfiring cylinders, but when the faulty gaskets warm up they expand causing it to seal better and that's why it would run better when warm. Anyway, it could be a bunch of different things, but this seems to be the problem for us. Several other forum members discussing same issue have also said it was the intake gaskets also. If you can fix it yourself you will save a load of money.

Is there a kit to make your escape run on E85 or can you just run E85 anyway?

== ==

There are several Ford vehicles that come from the factory ready to run E85, but unfortunately, the Escape is not one of them. Note that because of EPA regulations, making these changes will fail you on emissions testing, as they consider this a illegal modification to the factory system for on the road use. Running E85 on a non E85 engine can damage the engine without modifications to the tuning and injector size. Can be done, but legally no.

If the fuel lines are plastic or steel they are acceptable. All rubber must be an alcohol compatible, and most cars are from the mid 80's and up. But all components of the fuel system must be inspected.

No KIT is needed. Proper injector sizing and PCM tuning is required. But at best without a fuel sensor, the engine will be single fuel, not flex or dual fuel.
