The factory pump uses 6 to 9 amps depending on the condition of the pump. A worn pump uses more power of course. I don't know what problems if any you are having but if you blow a 10amp fuse then change the fuel filter, a pluged filter will make your pump work much harder. Still blows? Then time for a new pump. Aftermarket pumps such as a Walbro pulls almost 15 amps.

P0304 means the # 4 engine cylinder is misfiring

This is not correct....the firing order given here is for a 6-cylinder motor.....

firing order for the 1997 Ford Explorer & Mercury Mountaineer (the only vehicles in 1997 with the 302 - 5.0) is same as the 351 motor;

1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

usually nothing. no warning except maybe a miss in the engine. if you have 2 spark plugs per coil pack, then one or both plugs do not fire and you will have a very noticeable miss and poor acceleration. engine may not run at all. it would be my suggestion to replace ALL coil packs, spark plugs, and plug wires if 100,000 miles or over.

This is not for the rule abiding, uptight individual, so as far as the rest of the world goes.. if you have one key to your transponder key vehicle. Simply take the key hide it under your dash on the driver side in any fashion you feel comfortable with, but, of course, have a key cut that matches it(regular key) your computer will pick up the transponder under the dash and the $3 key will start it. Your other question will be "can people still my car now" yes, they can... will they.. NO, probably not. The reason for that is, that thieves know what they are stealing. they know your car has a transponder on it and won't even try.. they will move on to the next car. Can you bypass the transponder? NO. once again.. a thief knows this...

change the sway bar rubber bushings and sway bar link bushings

It depends on which engine you have. 4.6L engine: Use SAE 5W-20 engine oil. 4.0L engine: Use SAE 5W-30 engine oil. You can find all of this information in your Owner's Manual. If you don't have one, here is a PDF of the 2004 Explorer Owner Manual.

Windshield Wiper Motor Removal & Installation Front 1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Turn the ignition switch ON until the wiper blades are straight up, then turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 3. Remove the right-hand and left-hand windshield wiper arm and blade assemblies. 4. Remove the cowl top vent panels. 5. Detach the electrical hardness connector at the windshield wiper motor assembly. 6. Remove 3 wiper motor (module assembly) retaining bolts and remove the module assembly from the vehicle. 7. Remove the wiper linkage retaining bolt and remove the linkage from the wiper motor. 8. Remove 3 retaining nuts and remove the windshield wiper motor. To install; 9. Place the windshield wiper motor in position and install 3 retaining nuts. Tighten to 10-12 ft. lbs. (12-17 Nm). 10. Connect the wiper linkage to the windshield wiper motor and install the retaining bolt. Tighten the bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (20 Nm). 11. Place the wiper motor (module assembly) in position and install 3 retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts to 6 ft. lbs. (9Nm). 12. Install the electrical hardness connector to the windshield wiper motor. 13. Connect the negative battery cable. 14. Allow the windshield wiper motor to cycle several times while checking for proper wiper motor operation. 15. Turn the windshield wiper motor to the OFFposition to park the wiper motor in the park position. 16. Install the cowl top vent panels. 17. Install the wiper arm and blade assemblies. Install the retaining nuts and tighten to 22-29 ft. lbs. (30-40 Nm). 18. Connect the negative battery cable. Check the windshield wiper motor for proper operation and the wiper arms for adjustment.

Wake the owner up and kindly ask him to disarm the alarm in order for you to steal it without waking up the neighborhood. ANSWER press the panic button on your key fob , if the alarm is honking and lights are flashing , it will shut off , or unlock the Explorer . (Helpfull)

drivers side of the engine

The average cost to replace the fuel pump on a 1998 Ford Explorer is between $300 and $400. It is a labor intense job which makes up a majority of the costs.

It is attached in the two places you can't see: at the bottom (MAF end) and on the passenger side wall. If you can wedge something flat under it between the lower airbox and body directly below the MAF, you should be able to pry it up easily.

I wouldn't worry about breaking it. It'll sit there just fine without the mounting hardware and the box itself isn't going to break if you're not poking at it with something sharp. Pull that sucker up! SoLo.

The green 'D' light on the dash panel might flash on a CRV 2002 Sport when it is in motion, because it is telling the driver that the transmission needs to shift to a higher gear. If the vehicle is equipped with Overdrive, this gear should be used unless towing a trailer. If the vehicle has a manual transmission, it is telling the driver to shift to a higher gear.

The oxygen sensors located before ( upstream ) of the catalytic converters are used to " sense " the amount of oxygen in the exhaust to adjust the air / fuel ratio for the engine

they are incorporated into the door latches ,if your door ajar stays on one trick is to soak the latches down with wd-40 and keep opening and closing the doors and it should go off..
