el fords are notorious for cracking coils. The coil is located behind the distributor on the side of the engine block. Best accessed from under the car. It is small black cylindrical shape.

You take out the radiator from the top, fairly simple to do, but yes you need tools, then you draw a picture of which way the belt goes around the pullies, without this you wont figure out which way to put the new one on, then you put your new belt in and bolt the radiator back.

Insert the key into the ignition

Turn the key to the accessory position

Use a pin or paper clip to slightly push into the little pinhole located next to the key and turn the whole cylinder counter-clockwise while pulling it out. This operation removes the cylinder.

-push the ignition switch from the rear and turn the retaining nut (the ring that says "acc-on-start") counter-clockwise and remove the retaining nut.

This should cause the whole assembly to come apart.

Remove the nut from the back of the switch and remove the wire.

Remove the connector from the back of the switch.

Install by repeating in reverse order.....
