How does 1 change f struts on 1989 ford probe?

first you have to see if you car is a gt or not because a gt has a different system that is atomatic. You have to lossen the top bolts on the stut towers then you lift the car remove the tires thenunbolt the half shafts. this might not be nessisary but it was for me. now with everything out of the way you losen the two bolts holding the strut in place then knock it off the brake assembly then finish removing the bolts on top of the strut towers. pull out the strut assembly and be carefull not to snag the break line. From there is just removing the struts from the assembly

In the event of many speeding tickets is there a good way to secretly limit the speed of my son's 93 ford probe gt to only 70 mph?

Your best chance for doing this is going to the Ford dealer and asking them. I am sure there is some kind of governor you can put on the car if you want but it is going to cost major bucks. Just to let you know they do have programs out there that will plug into your sons car and give you a complete diagnostic of his speeds, RPM's, fuel/air, and lots of other stuff right from the computer. I can't think of the name of it off the top of my head and it might not even work with a 93 since it doesnt have OBDII. You also have to understand that he is a kid and he is going to go fast. No doubt about it. We all have done it. The bad thing is he will have to learn from his mistakes whether it is losing his license for a few months or having his insurance skyrocket. Hopefully it won't be an accident however. I learnt my lesson by getting my License revoked for a year.

How do you know ignition relay faulty?

If you mean the relay that controls the starter motor then it is fairly simple. There are 2 possible faults.

1) The relay is working, but is broken or burned out internally. You will hear a click from the engine bay when the key is turned but the starter motor will not do anything, not even engage.

2) The relay is broken. In this case nothing at all will happen when the key is turned.
