If you mean the relay that controls the starter motor then it is fairly simple. There are 2 possible faults.

1) The relay is working, but is broken or burned out internally. You will hear a click from the engine bay when the key is turned but the starter motor will not do anything, not even engage.

2) The relay is broken. In this case nothing at all will happen when the key is turned.

Somehow you set off the antitheft system. In order to reset it you have to unlock the drivers door with the key.

There could be a short some where in ur wiring that is hiting either another wire or metal, so if u find that's just put some tap over it and that should fix it.

you'll have to go to a local auto parts store... pick up the ford radio U-wrenches... ask them that, they'll know what you mean... it will cost under 10 bucks. then go into your car, put them in the four little holes on the side until they click and then just pull it out.

Check fluid level, (90 weight oil)

One suggestion would be, don't replace parts until you know what's wrong. Use a code scanner to see what the computer has stored. It probably knows what's wrong and is willing to tell you. If you have compression and the engine wasn't physicall damaged, it could be fuel or ignition. You'll have to use some diagnostic skills to figure out which.

The Throttle body is where all the sensors are for this car. If your having an Idle problem though, It is rarely that.

is the cutoff switch a normally open or normally closed switch ? If it a normally closed switch as it should be then the switch will need to activate with the ignition in order to supply fuel. There could be a problem with the fuel cutoff relay or a fuse. Also if you are using a non factory key then this might also happen.

Agar probes are use in applications where there is an oil/water interface that needs to be monitored. Often in such interfaces an emulsion occurs (a mixture of oil and water droplets). Such emulsions make it difficult to determine between the emulsion and the pure water/ pure oil strata, using standard methods such as a float level. Agar probes emit microwaves, which are readily absorbed by water but not by oil. By measuring the level of microwave energy absorbed by the surrounding fluid the agar probe can be use to determine whether it is in a water, oil or emulsion strata. A typical application would be in the oil and gas production. The purpose here is to separate and remove pure water used in processing from waste oil. Since this water can be recycled for reuse in processing or even pumped back into the environment, it is important that only pure water and not oil or an oil/water emulsion is pumped from the seperator tanks. Agar probes are a reliable way of ensuring this.

they both should have a 2.2 engin and the gt has a turbo but they are the same and will fit but you might come into some problums with the dash seeing as you have no boost gage for your turbo.

Check the following..............

1. Freon level.

2. Pressure switch.

3. Pressure switch pigtail.

4. A/C clutch air gap.

5. A/C heater controller.

6. Electrical for the system.

A 1994 Ford Probe (4 cyl or V6) requires a group 58R battery. One example is Interstate Batteries - part # MTP58R - which has 610 cold cranking amps. Various other brands are available, but most are identified by group number 58R ("R" indicates "reverse polarity" as compared to a plain "58".)

Second generation ? = Remove the screw on the rear top and the plastic push-pin. Remove the screw in the seat of the handle for opening the door, look at the rear end of the handle and you see a small plastic clip wich you will have to press with your fingers so it will snap away from the rod and then lift the handle out. Remove the 2 plastic covers on the inside handle in the middle of the door if it's the passengers side and unscrew the 2 screws. Remove the screw that is in the front end of the lower compartment, could be hard to see so feel for it. Remove the screw in the middle under the fabric in the little side pocket. Feel with your hands so that your fingers go between the rubber lining and the door panel.

The panel is hold in place by plastic snaplocks, pull it towards you and listen for the "pops". When it is lose all the way grab it by the bottom rim and press it lightly upwards so that it unhooks itself from the door near the window. BEFORE you take it completely of you have to unhook the 2 plastic connectors for the side mirror and doorlocks etc.

Probably the idle air control solonoid. Have it checked out and cleaned. Also have the throtle body cleaned where the throtle plate is. It builds up a carbon ring there. your car ha a lock up converter it is not unlocking it is either the lock up module itself or its a relay internal in trans

on my 89 prob i have a 5 speed trans can i chang the 3rd gear and elimanate 4th & 5th
