How do you remove the rear coils on a Thunderbird sc?

The rear shocks are easy - go into the trunk, remove the actuator from the top of each shock by squeezing the white tabs on the actuator (the tabs move inward and downward) and lift straight up. Set the actuator aside. The top bolt on the rear shock is easily removed using an 18mm box end wrench. You may need pliers to hold the actuator washer & bracket so that it doesn't spin while loosening the nut on the top of the shock. Space is limited so my deep sockets wouldn't work. Remove the rear tires and then the bottom bolts on the shocks. Replacements are provided for all of the nuts and bolts and washers removed from the rear shocks. Ford recommends using the new hardware. To install, just reverse the removal process. When reattaching the actuator, you may need to check the valve in the top of the shock and make sure it is facing the same direction as the pin in the actuator so that the actuator can be easily reattached.

How do you fix a 1994 Ford Thunderbird that will not go over 40 mph?

BUY A CHEBBY??? LOL either your clutch is slipping or the transmission is slipping. IF it is an auto, check the fluid.

could be a clogged catalytic converter

clogged fuel filter/pump?

I had the same problem with my 94 Thunderbird LX 4.6L(V8). You are going to need to replace your EGR valve. The EGR valve is blocked therefore the car cannot breath. The EGR valve price is pretty fair, if you go to an auto parts store. The valve ran me about $40. Now if you are going to put it on yourself you need 24 or 26 in. wenrch to get around the pipe it is counnected to.

What does 95 thunderbird airbag code 51 mean?

Here's a site that will explain everything you need to know about airbag lights and resetting the system. http://www.airbagsolutions.com/ This website gives you the procedure for diagnosing and resetting airbag lights. See if your car is listed here. http://www.airbagsolutions.com/vehicles_list.aspx On most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for @6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly. If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously. If the airbag light does not work properly, some vehicles have an audible tone that sounds indicating a problem with the airbag light system. When the light is on (or the tone is sounding), the airbag will NOT deploy, even in an accident. The flashing light on your car is telling the answer you need. On some vehicles, the light is flashing a two digit code. Once you know the code, you can most likely repair it yourself. There are fairly easy procedures that most people are capable of repairing. Airbagsolutions.com has the fault code charts to tell you what is wrong and how to fix it!

Some vehicle manufacturers accommodate systems without a scanner (like Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Infinity, Honda, Acura, Ford, Lincoln, Mazda & Mercury) and some require a scan tool. Check out these websites also for more info on airbag systems and the light. http://blog.airbagsolutions.com/archive/2007/11/18/why-is-my-airbag-light-on.what-should-i-do.aspx http://www.airbagsolutions.com/resources.aspx http://blog.airbagsolutions.com/ Also, you may want to check out this site for information on researching your own vehicle for factory recalls!!! http://www.airbagsolutions.com/nhtsa.aspx

How do you remove a heater core from a 1962 thunderbird?

This job is a real pain! Start by removing the lower dash trim from the driver and passenger side. All this is much easier if you remove the passenger seat. Remove the stainless trim, the aluminum trim and finally the passenger dashboard access plate, You will need the remove the vent control cable to get this out of yor way. Now remove the heater access panel...you should now be able to see the core. disconnect the heater hoses and the 3 nuts from the engine firewall that hold the heater unit in place from the engine side. aAt the passenger side, gently pull the unit towards you to access the 4 heater core bolts. remove these and the valve cable and the core should come right out.
