What is the engine color of a 1951 ford truck?
Hello, Ford engines were generally dark blue in 1949 and changed to bronze in late '49 production through 1951. For 1952 and 1953 the Ford engine was either tangerine red or green. The Ford truck engines were red from 1948 through 1951, and then changed to green for 1952-53. Mercury engines were green in color from 1949 through 1951. From 1952 to 1953 they were either green or tangerine. Good Luck Dan
How much horsepower does a stock 1994 351 Windsor have?
It depends on the type of car it was originaly instaled into and parts like the type of carb. But most likely about 200 horsepower.
--------
Here's a more universal answer to your question and those searching because that above is literally waaaaay wrong...
I have a 94 351w that came out of a bronco and stock all and makes 240hp/330ft lb torque. Keep in mind with this motor, you have so much more room to breath and the least of upgrades like a set of good headers yields around 240-245hp.
Trickflow Heads and good stage 2 cam yields a mere 350hp. heads alone 300hp+.
Looking to at least feel the power, throw some 4.10's in the rear or be ballzy like me a throw 4.56's behind that 5 speed and you'll be making everything piss pants.

How much should it cost to replace a water pump on a truck?
A brand new water pump will cost you about 60-70 bucks. A remanufactured one will run about 40. This is on a Chevy small block.
I would guess a mechanic would charge about 2-3 hours of labor.
So, with the cost of the pump....paying a mechanic....and other costs like gaskets and such....I would say about close to 300 bucks.
If you do it yourself (I just replaced mine on an 84 Chevy truck)....maybe 60-70 bucks. I managed to get a water pump that was taken off a crate motor that wasn't needed due to it being used for a marine application. I snagged a brand new water pump that was a high flow model for only 30 bucks. Not taking into account my time....I replaced it for 40 bucks total.
Hope this helps.

How do you set the engine timing on a 1996 Ford F-150 with a 351 engine?
I have a 1996 F250 4x4... to set the timing you have to first remove a chip out of a harness clip, mine is up by the firewall on the 1996 (I have a 1989 too and the part you remove on it is right by the distributor). On the '96 you look where the harness goes through the firewall, under the brake master cylinder.... there will be a clip with a rectangular grey chip in it.... the chip is about 1inch x 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch. You take that out and the computer quits trying to control the timing... then just do a regular timing job... mine is 10 degrees BTD. The timing chains on these are known to stretch and my timing was off by 10 degrees with 140k on the motor. Talk about improved performance!
