on 96 , remove glove box door.

If you open the glove compartment door and look down a the bottom corners between the plastic sides of the compartment and the dash, there are screws back there holding it on. I know because one of mine comes loose sometimes and I have to tighten it. Using a long, magnetic screwdriver works best.

There were cases of rollovers in Suzuki Samurai's in the 80's, but they usually involved people driving too fast, and making sharp turns...just like the rollovers that took place in the 90's with the Ford Explorers...The Geo trackers are wider at the base like the newer Ford Explorers. Ask Ford and they will tell you they didn't change a thing...that's just to avoid lawsuits...if they admitted a design flaw it would open them up for a rash of lawsuits. Likewise Suzuki never admitted anything in particular, it just went ahead and changed the design of the Tracker a little. Even so, don't take turns too fast in tall vehicles.

take front grill out, stick your hand in there and feel around until you feel the cable get a pair of needle nose pliers and pull on the cable it should pop right open.

yes because of the year you will not pass inspection but the fuse should be the one also used for the cigarette lighter usually they are 30 amp fuses

Hi, The first is to lock your hubs whether they are manual or auto. The second is to put the drive lever from 4 hi to 4 low or hi depending on the conditions and speed you'll drive. Steve H.

Complete rebuild or replacement. There will be metal shavings in the engine block in the oil pan. Even if you did manage to free it up enough to start one more time the bearing are shot. They would pick up all that loose metal and it would GRIND to a halt again very soon.

first off check to make sure that is the problem ive seen lots of money spent on engine swap because starter was locked or trans locked

Check all the grounds. There are engine grounds that sometimes come loose. I think there is one from the engine to the firewall that comes off sometimes. Bottom line is the alternators are probably fine but without a complete circuit it just wont charge.

P.S. If the grounds are just dirty clean them and check for tightness that could explane the sometimes it works sometimes it don't thing.

HI, The "Power" light means that the power mode switch and been presed to have more power available, to turn the light off just press the switch to return it to "Normal". Steve H.

The IAT Sensor on a 1992 Geo Tracker is the Intake Air Temperature Sensor. Replacing the air filter might fix this problem.

HI, You have the one at the rear of the exhaust manifold, it's in a hole, you can't miss it, it's better to remove it when the manifold is warm and make sure you have the thread grease on before you put it in. When you buy it ask for the stuff for the threads, they'll know what you need it's real important to use it. The other is down in the exhaust pipe right by the catalytic converter and that gets plugged in through a grommet in the floor. Good luck and have fun. Steve H.

Hi, The oil capacity for the 1994 Geo Tracker with the 1.6 engine is 4.5 quarts with the filter. Steve H.

If the starter will not engage on a 1994 Geo Tracker, it is possible that the solenoid needs to be replaced. There could also be a loose wire on the starter solenoid. Also check that the battery is fully charged. The battery could have gone dead while it was being driven.

Locate the distributor and mark where timing is set at. Loosen the 3 bolts holding the distributor in place. Disconnect any wiring. Pull off the o-ring and install the new one.

take a thin rag and shimmy the edge of it betwen the handle and the door panel. Then pull it back and forth like your trying to saw it off. this will catch the C- type clip that holds the handle on and remove it without hurting it. Be careful to watch for the clip to spring out fast and far, in car or out in driveway. Then when you want to replace the handle, simply snap it in the groove in the handle and then push the handle back on the spline and the spring will auto - lock on the handle.

Buy a ratcheting 12 mm wrench with a head that swivels and then it will be easy. Sears sells working gear sets for $80 on sale.

it is behind the drivers side speaker u have to remove the speaker, und bolts on ecm and lift it out. then you put in the new one a plug it in. no programming is required.

Yes, the 1989 - 1998 Trackers are the same ANSWER: The above answer is only partially right. Yes the '94 console will fit in an '92 Tracker. Only '89 through '95 Trackers are the same. '96 through '98 are the different then previous years.
