with a scan tool, you can go to your local auto shop and they should scan the cars pcm for less than $30.00. or you can go to your local auto-zone and they will read it for free, but mind you it will not be that accurate and they can only read codes they cant clear them.

The coolant is designed to exchange heat when pressurized. Lose the pressure and the coolant loses it's ablility to retain high temperatures. Of course you're loses the pressure through the crack in the head.

your injector is probably shorted internally. uncommon but not unheard of

for people who were not born in barns you may know this answer, those of you who were born in barns, yes the wires will short out when they are sitting on the engine block or even possibly by fair chance in hell the heater hoses rubbed them....but i highly doubt that would cause the fuse to blow. you may need to have an expert check your wiring system before you get in your car and start driving it around, if the fuel injection system blew then you may have a fairly good reason NOT to turn on the engine. rewiring may be what is needed.

check to make sure the wires in the connector at the back of the light to back sure they are all in tacked.

Two screws hold the fuse block down. Remove those and then there are two screws, (one on each side of the fuse) that hold the fuse on. Once you do that, the fuse comes off.

if they are both 16 -valve engines ,yes if one is 8-valve & the other is 16-valve, then short block only ANSWER: The '95 and '97 Trackers have different sensors and ECU's. The only way you could put a '95 engine in an '97 TRacker would be if you also had the ECU from the '95

Hi, I'll take a stab at this. The most likely culprit that I can come up with if you've checked the normal stuff, (wires and connections, distributor cap and rotor) would be the ignitor. The ignitor is near the coil or in the distributor (carbuetor engines) Of course the ignition coil itself could be bad. I'll again say that I'm only taking a stab after going over the schematics that are in my Chiltons book. I certainly hope this helps and if anyone else has more, please add to this. Good luck. It's just a matter of removing the 6 hex bolts an pull it out. Then, grab the spare hubs and bolt them in. Yea, indeed all Suzuki hubs fit.

Yes you can, Infact, I converted my 95 Geo Tracker from a 4 Cyl to a 3.8 V6, It runs a little better, but in my opinion the 4 cyl was better on gas, but this does make it a beast in off-road conditions. I have thrown 20's on it, raised the suspension, but the v6 drops nicely in there, you may have to raise 6 inches to a foot to properly fit, otherwise, fair game. Goodluck!

When you replace the timing belt you should replace the water pump and tensioner pulley as well. It may save you in labor costs down the road. But, all together it is about $500.

The throttle position sensor, otherwise known as a TPS, is located directly across the otherside/opposite side of the throttle body where the gas pedal cable connects to the throttlebody. They usually have 3 wires and are round black plastic items.

Is there no one out there who has an answer to this question? I have the same problem and have just spent 3 hours on the web without a result. We've replace the motor in a 95 sidekick with a motor from a 95 geo tracker and need to know. Someone told us the cam is different between the suzuki and the GM. I'm assumming you are just trying to time engine that is already together and not aligning cam and crank sprockets. There is a little notch in crank pulley just put some white paint on it and do your timing. Hope this helped.

Hi, If you're talking about the bulb, all you do is turn the locking ring/cap and gently pull the bulb out from the back. Remove the bulb and replace (don't touch the bulb with your fingers) with a new 9004 bulb. When you remove the bulb, be careful not to lose the wave washer if your requires one ( those made in Canada require a wave washer). If your locking cap is just loose and doesn't lock tightly, then you most likely need the wave washer available from your local Suzuki dealer. I tried GM and they said there were none in the country so I went to my Suzuki dealer. Part # 35177-60AB0 about $3.53. If it's the entire headlight assy then start by removing the bulb. The rest of the assy looks as if you need to remove the grill first to get at some screws and be able to remove and reinstall the assy. I've gone out to mine and looked this over. There are some screws on the inside of the engine area, well at least under the hood at the headlight assy. It looks to be a rather straightforward removal and installation. I just would look for prts at a salvage yard (junkyard) or whatever they call it in your area, even auto reclamation area, they all do the same thing. You may have to remove it yourself or they may do it, I've found it varies but I've been able to re-equip my '97 with quite a few things that way. E-Bay is the other place for a complete headlight assy, just try and not pay too much if you go that way. I've also replaced my bulbs (9004) with the Sylvania Ultra and love them, again, just be careful and not touch them. If you get body oil or a fingerprint on a halogen bulb, the bulb gets hotter at the place where you touch it. The light pattern is not correct and the life of the bulb is shortened because it burns hotter at that point and can dramaticly shoten the bulb life. If the head is warped the head gasket will not seal until you have the head machined. It must be perfectly flat before the head will seal to the gasket.
