When I have a problem like this, I go right to my car dealers parts department and have them print out a picture from their computer of the routing. They will do this for you if you ask. Hi, In the Chilton's book for Suzuki; Samurai/Sidekick/Tracker #66500, you'll find vacumn diagrams on page 4-60. I'd scan them in but I don't have a way to do that, maybe someone here could? If not, the book should be at your library or is only about $15.00 at most auto parts stores. Good luck. Steve

go to zukiworld.com the cheap and easy way is to install coil spring spacers however you can buy lift-kits and body lifts from calmini, rockyroad outfitters, boondox, or bds suspension, probably a few more too. With 1"-1&1/2" spacers you can fit 235/75R15 tires of your choosing on stock wheels, or 29x8.50x15. The 2" and 3" lift-kits will allow up to 31" tires, possibly 33"s with suspension and body lift. Tires over 8.5" wide will require wider rims, 5 lug by 5.5" spacing and at least 3.75" backspacing.

after you reconnect the battery you need to reset the alarm system. there should be a reset button (valet button) located under the drivers side of the dashboard. hold the button for 3 seconds then try to start the vehicle.

My 96 has 134a in it. If you get a replacement don't get one that is made with propane. I know of a bus that burn up because of this.

check with auto zone, mayb ethey have a book you can look at right quick i know on ours whihc isn't home this second..lol has a trouble code box on the passenger wheel well, its about an inch by an inch with a rubber cover, you need to jump two of the slots you see in there and i ain't sure whihc ones without my car eing here check withh auto zone. good luck

I have a 90 tracker with manual steering.....whomever had it before me had the wrong size tires on it. if it has power steering... check the fluid level and if the pump still works.

The fuel filter is always located on the fuel intake line going into your carberator. It is usually accessable from the left side of your engine.

Jack up the front end of the Tracker, take off the lug nuts and wheel, loosen the two caliper bolts and lift up the caliper. Don't let it hang by the brake hose! Have your new pads ready and be observant as to which pad is the inner and outer pad. You may have to compress the caliper with a big pair of pliers or a c-clamp to force the fluid away from the caliper before lifting it up. Put the new pads in the caliper and slip back over the rotor. You should torque the caliper bolts after replacement ( I don't know what the torque foot pounds is), then replace the wheel and bolts. DO ONE SIDE AT A TIME, so you have the other side for reference if you get distracted. After doing both sides, hit the pedal inside the car and it will seem soft until the pads reset to the rotor. Last thing to do is recheck the brake master cylinder to be sure it is in the normal range. These are the easiest pads to change I have ever done.

Place your key in the ignition, and with the back of a screwdriver( Handle end) lightly tap the key and try to turn at the same time in the ignition, .The tumblers or wafers often get stuck and may help them slide into their proper location. The Focus is notorious for this problem. I have used ths method several times and was able to pull my ignition assembly for replacement. Hopes it works for you, did for me.

The engine code in the VIN will be a U for the 8-valve engine and a 6 for the 16-valve engine. My footnote for these also says the 1995 16-valve engine iis a California and New York model. The engine type digit is the sixth digit?letter in the VIN. Hope this helps.

By removing the valve cover from the engine, then removing the rocker nut on the bad rocker. Refer to a technical manual for torque specifications, as this must be properly torqued!!!

Remove the left lower speaker grill in the dash (4 screws). Remove the speaker (4 screws). There should be a small red switch just inside the opening. Flip it and the light should go out. This only works if the computer does NOT have a code set. Trackers from that era have a speedo that will trip the light at 50K, 70k, and 90K miles to remind you to check the emissions equipment for proper function.

Probably on the firewall just behind and above the pedals, a black box about four inches square.

Standing in front of vehicle, starter will be on your left side (Passenger side). Look under the intake, you should see a black support kinda shaped like a letter Y. You will find the starter just beyond that support.

no just make sure to remove all 7 bolts and be sure to remove the starter also. when you are going to put the new one back in you will need a clutch allinment tool.

I'm assuming that you mean the Harmonic Balancer on the Crankshaft?? If so, You have to use a Chain Wrench to hold the pulley from turning while you loosen the bolt. Wrap duct tape around the pulley to not damage the pulley with the chain. Once you remove the bolt, use at least a 5 or 6 inch gear puller. Remember to put the bolt back in a few turns so you have a resting place for the center bolt of the gear puller. Caution: Don't allow the pulley to turn CCW at any time.

Removing the radiator makes life much easier for this job.

Usually the problem with this computer is that the capacitors leak inside the computer causing the traces around them to erode causing no signal to the fuel injector. To test, dump a small amount of fuel down the carburetor. If it fires, then you will need a new computer or you can have it repaired.

If you are going to change the belt, go to Auto Zone or another parts store and get a manual on your car. It will show you how to do it. cam gear has a notch and a bump which points toward top and sort of lines up with belt cover back plate. crank has a key which lines up to a arrow shaped tab also on the top side of that gear on engine. as for the tensioner belt adjuster, the manual isn't too clear on proper adjustment. good luck

The FSM only that is the factory service manual don't trust any other as the do not always include TSB Technical Service Bulletins. Do not guess unless you have lots of available cash. Check out http://www.suzuki-forums.com/ look for jerrys kick-fix link. He is a Suzuki Tech and he has saved me tons of money.

Not sure on the 89 Geo Tracker but on most newer vehicles the tail light bulbs can be accessed by openening the rear door and removing a panel that allows access to the tail lights if this is not possible you should have some type of screws on the tail light lenses itself that can be removed to access the bulbs. , EzForJesus

my 91 Tracker 2 door had 2 small screws at the bottom of the tail light - I had to push the rubber fascia down slightly to get a Phillips screwdriver into the screws. Remove both screws, tip the bottom of the fixture out and you now have access to the 1/4-turn twist-out bulb holders. Change bulb(s) and reverse procedure.
