I can't find 2 of my baby hamsters?

I would look in small places, (depending on how small the baby is) And maybe try to lure it out w/ food. Sorry U Can't find them. Good Luck!

What is wet tail?

Wet tail is a disease for hamsters. It is almost like hamsters getting diarrhea. If not treated with drops or any medicine, it can be fatal. Fatal means that your hamster can die from this disease. My hamster, Nemo, has wet tail now, so everyday, twice a day, I have to give Nemo two drops of orange flavored wet tail drops.

If you notice your hamster has a wet bottom and/or has wet and/or strong smelling poo, go to your local pet shop and buy some medicine for your furry little buddy so you can keep a healthy, happy pet!

For the record, Nemo LOVES the drops and takes it as a treat. I feel bad for having to take the dropper away so I always make sure to give her a top favorite seed. But, do not just buy the drops as a treat because this will make your pet sick.

Thank you!

Can you get your pet mice neutered?

I don't know about mice, I would guess 'yes' if you could find a vet to do it. I have had many male rats neutered so they could live with my females. Neutered, they are less aggressive and don't get the oily, musky smell that un-neutered rats do. Still, in retrospect, compared to the cost of the procedure and the longevity of the animals, I would not do it in the future. I'am not to 100% if you can neutered your mice go and ask your vet to see if you can or not. Sorry I can not help you that much.

Why do gerbils produce very little urine?

They are desert animals and their bodies have adapted to extracting most of the water from their food. In the wild, they don't have access to water all the time and the food they eat very often isn't that moist. So producing urine is a waste of water and they have reduced it to a minimum. That's an adaption you will find in many desert animals.

If your pet gerbil escapes its cage is it gone forever or can you trap it?

There is a chance you can get him back especially if he's in one room. You can get his favorite treats (varies between gerbil to gerbil) and put it in a box. Make books or some sort of climb around the box. Don't put anything so he can climb out. The trick is that he will follow the scent of the treat (the smellier the better!) and climb up the books and jump into the box for the treats. Now that he's in the box, he can't climb out.

What food make a excellent gerbil treats to give?

Personally, my gerbils adore apples. If you do give them apples, be sure to give them small pieces without the apple peel or seeds; the seeds are poisonous for them. My gerbils also love sunflower seeds, but be careful, they are very fatty, so don't feed them too many! Also, roasted pumpkin seeds (WITHOUT salt) are a favorite. Small pieces of carrots are nice, too, as are raisins. If you eat plain Cheerios for breakfast, those are great.

Gerbils can eat most green vegetables, but be sure to only give one serving of green vegetables a week, or else the gerbil can get diarrhea.

Hope that helps!

Can gerbiks eat chicken?

Gerbils come from the Gobi Desert where their primary diet consists of roots and grass. Domestic gerbils are mostly accustomed to eating nuts, grains, and seeds. Most enjoy vegetables like lettuce but are put off by fruits. When fed a proper balanced diet there should be no need to feed them any type of human food and I would advise against it because it may upset their digestion.

Red swollen eye on gerbil what is going on?

If it is really swollen and red, try wiping it really softly with either water or you could try special preservative-free saline solution (from vets), but I would stick with the water. I would advise you to take it to the vet if the swelling isn't gone by the next day. Hope it helps

Can you leave your runner ducks in while you go on holiday for 4 days?

In what? If you are planning on being gone for 4 days and want to leave them in a confined crate or pen, don't. Weather is to hot and they would very quickly run out of fresh water and food. Better to leave them out to roam free and have access to all of this. Make absolutely sure they have water available. Ducks will go through and dirty an average of 15 gallons per day per duck, so if you are leaving, hook up and auto water fill that keeps a container at a given level of water regardess how much the ducks splash out. May make a mess in 4 days but better than having dead ducks from ladk of water.

How much of the food on the market is cloned food?

The only people who would have even a semi-accurate account of the amount of cloned food that is being sold today are the companies who are putting it there and government agencies who are allowing them to do it. Cloned food is a lot like genfoods (foods containing ingredients from genetically modified plants or animals). By the time the word about GMOs in the foods we buy at the supermarkets got out to the masses, GMOs were ingredients in almost all processed foods. It will be the same for cloned foods unless enough people speak out against it NOW.
