Are marmallows gluten free?

if they say on the packet "gluten free"

then yes. yes they are.

However, you must always read the package! If any ingredient saying modified food starch is used, be aware that means the company can use a product that may

contain gluten or what ever product most readily available at the time. I was told this directly from a spokesperson of a major food company. Any and all products can be modified at anytime. If you get sick eating a product that states "Gluten-Free" and their using modified food starch, then you know to avoid the product. I have Celiac Disease and have experienced this ill effect many times.

Unos have gluten free pizza Ledo working on it when does Pizza Hut have it Over 1000000 with celiac rclc51comcastnet?

Ledos has been saying they are "working on it" for two years. It's not that hard to work on. I really wouldn't count on them following through. Perhaps they are hoping it's nothing more than a craze, and it will soon end. Ledos, by the way, is one of my favorite pizzas and they do not get my business. Grotto in Rehoboth has best gluten free pizza crust ever. Even Mamma Lucia has a gluten free crust, and so does ZPizza. They are not great crusts, but at least they are not just "working on it."

Is mozzrella cheese gluten free?

Usually.

Always double check, especially with shredded cheese. Sometimes shredded cheese contains flour or starch to keep it from sticking together, and this might contain wheat flour.

Generally it's bleu cheese you really need to worry about.

What is modified food starch made from?

MFS can be any food starch, such as potato, corn, wheat or any other starch. It is modified by treating with acid to produce different cooking properties. One common example is instant pudding. The starch has been modified to thicken without the addition of heat.

There is no requirement that the source of the starch be specified on the label, but the manufacturer may be able to identify it if required. Since the manufacturer purchases MFS from milling companies like Con-Agra and ADM in large sacks, they may not know what the MFS actually contains.
