On my 2004 3500 Savana, it is under the hood, under and just behind the blower fan. It is not a 'tube' per say, but rather a plastic black square formed tube, that snakes a bit downward, with a rubber flap on it's downward end. That flap faces the passenger's wheel, and has a weighted portion on it that keeps the flap closed. I'm having to clean mine out right now, and am finding maple seeds and mud (possibly wet dust) blocking the water from escaping.

if one shoe is shorter then the other, the shorter shoe ALWAYS faces toward the front of the vehicle. this is called servo style brakes, if the the shoes are the same length then it dose not matter witch one faces forward, this is called non-servo style brakes. but in this case GM uses servo style brakes so the smaller shoe faces the front.

Im not really familiar with the GMC savana, but if this will help you any here is what i know about taking windows out of autos.
Take all the trim off around the window so that you can see the edges all the way around the window. Most windows are put in with some sort of sealent or gasket so you will need to find a piece of wire and poke it thru the sealant and then see saw it back and forth all around the window to separate the window from the sealant and then when the window is loose you can remove it

2 of them are in the back of the engine where the fly-wheel bolts onto the engine.
You will need to pull the engine are the transmission to get to them.
There is 2 on each side of the engine block below the heads. 1 is behind the starter and 1 behind each motor mount that you can't see. there is 1 on the driver's side of the engine that you can see. You will need to remove the starter and the 2 motor mounts to replace those.
There is 2 on each side of the timing cover, just under the front of the heads that you can't see until you remove all the Assy. that are on the front of the engine.
It is a big job to replace them all.
The oil pump is driven off of the the engine itself. At idle the engine speed is low, hence the the gauge will read low. As you accelerate engine speed rises as does the oil pressure and your gauge will read higher. Hence the fluctuations you see. It is normal!
