on the drivers side of the engine. right above the spark plugs. it has a thin wire sticking out of it. BE READY coolant will pour out as soon as you remove it.

Slide in under the truck behind the passenger side front wheel. Look UP at the rear side of the engine and you will see the starter. It will have 2 bolts holding it on.

There are a number of reasons for a rough idle. Best to do a standard tune up. This includes new plugs, wire set (plug wires), pcv valve, distributor cap and rotor, oil change, air filter, fan belt or serpentine. While you are doing this look for any sign of a vacuum leak. First I do the rotor and the cap followed by a timing adjustment, then I like to do a full compression test on all cylinders. I usually do this as I am replacing plugs. If compression looks acceptable than I will continue to doing a vacuum test after new plugs are put in. Vacuum is often where you find the problem. A vacuum will tell you if you have a vacuum leak, but it will actually give you a very large diagnostic view of how your engine is breathing and running. If the vacuum test looks good, and you are still idling rough, clean your carb or throttle body for fuel injection. With carb you can make necessary adjustments if you handy with carbs. In case of Fuel injection you can clean the throttle body like a carb, by spraying carb cleaner inside. Read then can and follow the instructions. Be careful because especially with fuel injection not all parts should be soaked real hard and the spray is highly flammable so use care around the hot parts. There is the possibility of needing new injectors, or it could require an overhauled carb. Also there are various sensors that communicate with the ecm on engines with computer. These sensors can cause a lot of hell on an idle and on overall performance. O2 sensor is a relatively cheap and easy to access sensor that can cause a lot of problems. Also, I have seen idle problems related to temperature. For instance a vehicle I once had had a thermostat that was too low, a 160deg instead of the 195 deg. It caused high idle because the engine never thought it was warm enough. There a lot of things that can cause idle troubles. Good luck. Start with the basic stuff and work yourself through it. This type information can be easily found in your owner's manual. If you do not have one, I suggest you get one. Dealer can order you one or you may find one at a salvage yard. Also search on line for a down loadable copy. Some manufactures do have these on line.

Usually when the flasher blinks rapidly it's about finished. Try replacing the signal light flasher and see what happens. If you still don't have Brake Lights start looking for a short.

On my 93 it's on the left hand side of the steering column down low in the dash. The ash tray in on the right of the column and the fuse box is on the left behind removable panel.

It's on the driver side right before you get to the engine. Crawl up under the driver door and follow the fuel line.

ABS doesn't change how you bleed the brakes. Simplest way for one person to do it is this. Get a piece of tubing that will fit over the bleeder screw. Loosen the screw and put the tubing over the bleeder and the other end in a container with enough brake fluid in it to cover the end of the hose. Pump the brake pedal slowly several times and shut the bleeder screw. Start at the rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, ending with the front drivers. You may only need to do the wheel you have worked on, but if not, you always start at the one furthest from the master cylinder. Always check the master and keep the fluid level above half while pumping the brakes.

It has an electric fuel pump inside of the fuel tank.

YES. The fuel pump comes out of the TOP of the tank. so you must remove the fuel tank.

fuel pump is locatedin the fuel tank. you will have to drop the tank to replace. I recently have done this on my suburban.

If 1993 suburban rear ac not cold how can check the expansion valve?

I had the same problem with mine it turned out to be a short i n the power seat mechanism. There are lots of other things that run through a thermal fuse. The haynes books have a wiring diagram in the back hope this helps

Outside Bolts Next To Exh Manifold 16-12-8-4-3-7-11-15. Now In The Middle Row Number Them 17-9-(1)-6-14. Inside Row Number 13-5-2-10. Draw This Out Like Looking Down At The Head, Now You Have The Sequence. Best To You

I had the switch assembly on the steering column get burned-up at it caused my headlights to go out. It cost about $250 to replace.

If it's inline, then you follow the fuel line coming from the tank until you see the pump. If its 'in tank' you have to drop the fuel tank, then get to it from the top of the tank. You simply unscrew the pump, unhook everything, then put your new pump in. It's a long job, but a simple one.

The O2 sensors are screwed into the exhaust system. Follow the exhaust backward from the engine and you will find the sensors.

How did you fix this? We had ther same problem.
