One of the sensors is tripping the engine light. Codes need to be retrieved. Problems could be O2 sensor and or Catalytic Converter.

Possible clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump. If the fuel filter isn't new, suggest you change it first. If no help, have the computer read for codes and see if a low fuel pressure comes up. In that case, it's your fuel pump. Hope that helps. Had the same problem, changed fuel and air filters and cleaned Mass Airflow Sensor and problem was solved. The MAF is in the air inlet line from the air filter box to throttle body. You can remove it fairly easily with screw drivers by loosening the hose clamps. You need to unclip the wire harness as well. The MAF should not be carboned up and you should be able to see clealy through the screen. If it looks black and has carbon it needs a cleaning. Use carburetor cleaner. Don't drive the truck without the MAF in place. The fuel filter is under the truck on the frame rail just about under the driver's seat. It is mounted securely but it does come off. Watch out for spilled gasoline when disconecting, release pressure by opening gas tank cap first. You could also go further and change the ignition wires and spark plugs. I did this too and was amazed at the renewed horsepower. Hope these suggestions help.

Well on my 1997 it is located on the output of the transfer case that goes to the rear differential.

You will probably need to drop the fuel tank to change it. If your Suburban is really old like mid eighties or before it is located on the engine but now days it is in the fuel tank. There is a metal collar that you have to use a punch or screwdriver and hammer to unscrew about an inch and a half. The assembly under that collar is the fuel pump. Note: there is a little lever you need to hold out of the way to unscrew the collar. Good luck

they can have up to 300 or so, as being stock. but if rebuilt they can have up to 1500. if built right and the right stuff on it

It does not have it's own computer, The engine and transmission is controlled by the PCM-Power train control module / computer. There is only one computer for the entire truck.

I own a 1999 GMC K2500 suburban with 145K miles on it. I have had it 7 years. Dont plan on getting much higher than 10mpg around town and maybe 15 on the highway with everything tuned up. I speak from experience.

Most drain plugs are on the bottom of the radiator they are called (pee-cocks). Some look like a wing-nut and sometime they look like bolts. It would be best if you look near the bottom on the radiator on either sides of the radiator for the drain plugs. I

your idle settings might be to low. check on your engine near your carb for a small screw that is all by itself

1500 2wd has 190 h.p. 300 ft/lb torque all others have 210 h.p. 300 ft/lb torque

13.9 to 14.3 VOLTS with engine running.

If it's the switch on the column, you just need to pull it out. If you don't have cruise control, this is an easy task. If you do have cruise, then there will be a small flat wiring harness you will need to fish out all the way down the steering column.

When emptying out a motorcycle gas tank you can put a funnel under the petcock leading into a gas can big enough to hold the gas you have in the tank. Open the petcock and let it drain. It may take a while but can be easier than siphoning or removing the tank.

The expansion valve is located next to the evaporator coil in the rear passenger side, just behind the fender well. you will notice the air intake or (return air) grill has slots and this is present just as you open the back door or gate 1st thing on the right.

Depends on what side. On passenger side, remove air filter fixture, remove 2 top bolts for headlight, then remove well panel that's under air filter fixture. Then remove the other bolts for the head light and slide it out gently.

If you are having to add refrigerant, then this means you have a leak, and you will be adding refrigerant again in a few months. It is illegal to add refrigerant to a system with a leak without first repairing the leak. So, my advice is to take it to a professional and have the leak repaired and refrigerant added with the proper equipment, which you do not have.

Either you have a leaky heater core, if you use the A/C a lot, severe condensation buildup, but it still means the drain for the box, is plugged, under the hood. Should be on the passenger side of the firewall, under the drier for the A/C. Looks like a little 90 degree tube sticking out.

There were 3 options: 1/2-ton: P265/70R16 all-season, steel-belted radials

1/2-ton: P245/75R16 all-season, steel-belted radials

3/4-ton: LT245/75R16 all-season, steel-belted radials The first listed is slightly wider than the other two.

automatic? remove transmission and torque converter then remove flexplate (auto has a flexplate not a flywheel if mauel transmission remove gear box and clutch then remove flywheel

the transmission and transfer case must removed from back of engine to access rear main seal.
