You didn't ask a specific question, but I'll pose a few back to you: Why would you want to expend another ounce of energy on someone 1) with whom you argue; 2) who tells you to shut up; 3) who believes being heard is more important than listening; and 4) who "makes" you "shut up" by shutting you out? Look up passive aggressiveness and mental abuse and evaluate what his response might be were it not a long distance relationship. If there's a potential for violence, pitch your phone. Bigger question back: what can you do? You have zero power o change him. Your power is restricted to changing yourself, preferably for the better. Do you listen or do you antagonize? Do you treat others with respect AND behave in a manner worthy of respect? Do you listen first, ask to be heard after understanding what another has said? Learn and then model good behavior/listening skills for him. There's a saying: "When I point one finger at you I point three back at myself." If you can't be good to each other, there are better endeavors into which to pour one's energies. Note: All this is said with a caring arm about your shoulder, one sister to another. you close your eyes when your asleep because when your resting everything in your body relaxes and takes it easy, including the brain, the brain is connected to the eyes therefore the brain signals for your eyes to shut so the brain has one less thing to do because everything you do when you look at something sends 'pictures' to your brain and makes you see what it is and realize things but when your asleep your brain is on 'stand by' and it cant relax and answer 5700 things every second at the same time, or when you woke up in the morning you would have the biggest headache ever!!
