The easiest way to replace the stud without taking out the hub, is to shave a part of the stud head so it fits in the cramped area, and first cut off the old stud for easy removal. But the right way is to remove the hub with either a machine press or axle remover, which you can borrow from an autoparts store. Just be very careful not to bang the the hub much which can damage the inernal bearings.

Go to any Auto Parts store and they will tell you the correct size. I recommend Purolator, Wix, or Bosch filters. All are quality filters. I personally use Purolator in my 2004 Accord.

If the vehicle has brakes on the steer axle (which any truck from 1975 and newer will have), they're using both the primary and secondary system - primary for the drive axle and trailer brakes, secondary for the steer axle brakes, and often for any additional lift axle brakes, as well.

Hey Josh==It sounds like you have a bearing going out of a water pump or alternator. The best way is to get a stethescope for about$20. it makes short work of finding noises. Or you can get a 3 foot length of hose and listen at one end while moving the other around to different spots to find the noise. If you can take a belt off of the alternator and still have the water pump turn, that may do it. Goodluck Joe

It's also possible that the noise you are hearing is just the valve-train. Does the noise go away or get quieter once the engine is warmed up? Does the speed of the ticking increase with engine RPM?

If it a big concern, a qualified mechanic will be able to tell you if it's the valves or not just by listening.

ok, this might be a little complicated to describe, but bear with me... ok. open the hood, and look for the oil dipstick. if you know where that is then were can get started.. now have you ever changed the oil in a lawn mower? if you have you then you know what the dipstick looks like. Well, the tranny dipstick looks just like that... from the left of the oil dipstick and left from the edge of the engine, look down under some hoses and there it will be, down a bit and if your car is running then you will probably burn your hand on the hot parts....pretty much it is north east a little bit of the passenger side headlight. , i had trouble finding mine too so i know what you mean...

When you do find it be sure to chek the fluid with the engine OFF! These are noe of the few cars that you check with the engine not running.

After the exhaust manifold but before the catalytic converter on the exhaust tube.

The water pump is driven by the cam belt. The lower radiator hose connects to the water pump.

The problem is the Main Relay. The location of the relay makes it susceptible to failure when the sun is shining on it. A simple replacement of the Main Relay will fix this problem. If you want to replace it yourself, it is located under the dash, to the left of the steering column (hidden by silver cruise control box, which needs to be removed).

In the alternator

First you have to remove the power steering pump. Then you need to remove the alternator. You might have to remove the brackets that hold the previously removed items as well.

The fuse is located either in the fuse box under the dash, or on some, out under the hood. The box covers usually have the identification of what the fuse and breakers are used for. Look in the owners manual. It too should have the location, and labeling of which fuse protects which circuit.

Just behind center of the front bumper way down toward the bottom of the car, you will find a dipstick that un-screws. You really have to look but it's there. (It is about 1 1/2" in diameter.)

The water pump is driven by the cam belt. The pump is hidden by the cam belt cover and is mounted on the engine block.
