Is human resource management is here to stay or it just another management fad?
Most likely here to stay (unfortunately) just like another tier of poor government, I might add.
There are numerous despicable versions of this story. However, they pretty much follow the same blueprint.
They (HR) usually start out by gaining the role because weak ineffective management cannot seem to stem the flow of (the no good) talent who are defecting swiftly as they eventually realize the poor outfit they have chosen to find occupation with.
Chapter 1: With the latest buzz word all about and discussed indistinctly during the weekly round of nine. "You need a HR girl for that people problem". And what's more you could get a nice piece of eye candy too (9/10 are female).
Chapter 2: So she starts, the fresh new HR piece of talent, or better known as s.e.n.i.o.r. p.a.y.r.o.l.l. c.l.e.r.k. churning out the usual employee of the month award schemes (shams) and gaining the trust of everyone from the bumbling front desk casual to weak and confused senior management.
Chapter 3: Over time the various new fab/fad concepts and schemes taught at college, become less effective and infrequently implemented. And despite well scripted CC'd memos and intranet postings, coaxing positive attitudes, the still disillusioned staff keep hemorrhaging out the revolving door.
Chapter 4: The HR 'Manager', now seeks the services of a 'HR/recruitment agency'…
These equally qualified parasites who thrive on placing all the wrong people and have the gall to call up and "see how things are going" (like they really give a crap, and only a few months after placement.) They know all the stats too, for new starters not working out. All learned at HR college…
This group of pitiful HR-want-to-be-high-pressure-sales-scavengers are like birds of a feather now with the ragged HR clerk and begin to "work" their web of collusion.
Chapter 5: HR - Pay Clerk now consumed with endless internal conflicts and pay discrepancies etc... (Refer back to weak management and original job description- P.a.y.r.o.l.l. c.l.e.r.k) simply gives up and allows an endless stream of punters apply for the numerous roles. Poor old HR is so busy these days. could do with some helpers… hope these ones can speak the language and be able to tally up sick days 1+1= future human recourses manager
[As a side, why are there so many weak 'micro' managers and so few leaders in business today? Is this due to regular brow beating near to the brink of extinction..? Yes dear!
Anyway back to the HR Clerk.
Chapter 6: The once glorious champion, custodian of the cake of the month award, now ends up spending the bulk of their day fixed steadfastly to the monitor with one eye, frantically pouring over the job seeker ads. The other eye despairingly focused on the revolving door, now almost spun off its hinges.
Finale: The now feeble and dismayed imposter of all things good in the company, now regularly abused (in all sorts of ways by senior management) found tensely crouching in their often poky dingy office (depending on the taste of the candy) has a filing cabinet full of trump cards on file. Every poor bastards CV on from good to bad to ugly, who traipsed through anything worth plagiarizing will do.
Jackpot…Bigger Company - oversees postings etc, etc, etc… All found on company time mind you. The secret yearning for that new better paying higher status, different title 'national talent manager, something, something…
All the while with a self opinion that their current/past tenure was well served and now well beneath them. And as for the ever present discord and nose diving moral, well it's not their problem anymore…
Guess who gets the role of appointing the next pay roll/ HR clerk..? Just in case it's a HR person trying to read this, refer confused senior management.
Your new boss...
It just means that a company (or organization) needs to get help. Maybe hire someone, maybe get a volunteer to help, whatever. They need a person.
How do you abbreviate a Masters of Human Resource Management?
It depends on the college or universities approach and focus. It could be either an MA, or MS. You would have to check with the school who offers the program of study as to which approach it takes. To give you a better understanding of the difference between the MA versus the MS approach, please read the following.
The master of arts (MA) has a broader scope, with a strong emphasis on the humanities, theoretical and general knowledge in a recognized discipline, interdisciplinary field, or of a professional study.
The master of science (MS) is more of a focused approach with a science base to include a balance of liberal arts, technological knowledge, math and computer oriented skills, and practical skills needed for a particular discipline within the field.

hi, I also have an ebt card, it has to be refunded to the ebt card, there's another way to get around this, return the items that u bought on your ebt card without the receipt, if the store accepts returns without a receipt like walmart then they will refund you with a giftcard or cash depending on the amount. just say u lost the receipt, but use the receipt first to refund the rest on what u bought by cash.... then, return the ebt purchases without a receipt the next day or two...
What is the Four Resource Model for learning language and literacy?
The four resources model for language learning and literacy comes from the work of Allan Luke and Peter Freebody in Australia. Distancing themselves from the "reading wars" they propose that to be literate one has to be able to use the four families of resources of literacy: code breaking, comprehension, text user and critical analysis. Judgment against you but need to Cash a large check but no bank account?
I asked this same question for the same reason at my local currency exchange. the amount is 28K The exchange told me they would cash it with a photo ID and that they would pay me the first 5K in cash then write me 4 more checks to return each day thereafter and cash. The only thing they did say was they would probably call the bank and verify the funds and the payee. Also the cost of this transaction is high at about 500.00. Hope that helps? BG
What is the phone number for aaron's inc human resources department?
We do not have a general HR number. Aaron's does all of our hiring through the store directly and each region is assigned a specific payroll specialist. Depending on the issue and/or inquiry there is probably a seprate department or specialist that handles that particular field. If you are an employee you can ask your GM which department would handle your inquiry. If you are a job seeker you must apply online and it will filter through a general system that any store can view. Once you have filled out the online application I would contact your local store manager where they can pull up your online application and see if you passed the general screening process and or tell you if their store has any openings for the position for which you are applying.

IR - Industrial Relations
HRM - There are only two important parties viz., employee and employer.
IR - These are four important parties viz., employees ,employer ,trade unions and government
HRM - Formulation of objectives ,policies ,procedure and programs of human resources and implement them
IR - The implementation of HRM policies results in IR.
HRM - Reformulates the objectives, policies etc ,based on industrial conflicts which are the outcome of unsound industrial relations.

IR - Employees contact even the top management as a group.
HRM - Grievance and disciplinary procedures are resorted to, to solve the employee-employer conflicts.
IR - Collective bargaining and forms of industrial conflicts are resorted to ,to solve the problems,
HRM is the overall management of all resources including workers, staff, , executives, Top management and even suppliers and customers. Industrial Relations in practice means the relations between actual work force and management of the organization.. Therefore I am giving below some of the salient features of IR.
· Industrial relations are governed by the system of rules and regulations concerning work, workplace and working community.
· The main purpose is to maintain harmonious relations between employees and employer by solving their problems through grievance procedure and collective bargaining.
· Trade Unions is another important institution in the Industrial relations. Trade unions influence and shape the industrial relations through collective bargaining.
· Industrial relations are the relations mainly between employees and employers.
· These relations emphasis on accommodating other parties interest , values and needs . Parties develop skills of adjusting to and cooperating with each other.
Is a major in sociology and a minor in Human Resources just as good as a major in Human Resources?
This all depends on your overall career goals and objectives. Every major can be supplemented with other course work. The question is, " what is your primary focus? Is it sociology or human resources?" If your primary focus in sociology, then what do you plan to do with this degree (be specific). If it is human resources, then what do you plan to do with this course of study (be specific)? If you can answer these questions wholeheartedly than you have your answer. If not, then you need to do further research on your career goals. You have to get that vision, that picture of the future you intend to create for yourself. After you get that vision, you can then create an appropriate road-map on how to get there. That being said, major course work can always be coupled with minor course work you may have an interest in. It will never hurt to do this. A minor will always enhance an existing degree. Lastly, although psychology and sociology can be considered a related field to human resources (because of the human element), if I am an employer looking to fill a human resources position, I may feel a degree in human resources may be the better fit, although the expertise and personality of the interviewee would also play a part.
Liberal arts backgrounds are competitive within the human resources field, as long as you supplement your general education in your chosen topic (like sociology) with appropriate HR-specific coursework, like classes in employment law, training & development, etc., which a minor in Human Resources is certainly likely to include.
