Hyundai XG350

To replace the hood struts on a 2005 Hyundai XG350, first, ensure the hood is securely propped open. Use a flat-head screwdriver to carefully pry off the retaining clips on both ends of the old strut. Then, remove the old strut by pulling it away from the ball joints. Finally, attach the new strut by aligning it with the ball joints and pressing it into place, securing it with the retaining clips. Repeat on the other side if necessary.

The 2005 Hyundai XG350 does not have a traditional chip key system. Instead, it uses a standard metal key for ignition. However, some models may come with a remote key fob for keyless entry, but this does not include a transponder chip for the ignition. Nothing will break, but you will have a direct short to ground, and if you're lucky, the battery will just discharge without exploding....

First of all,I Cannot see how the starter pinion gear will mesh with the flywheel at all if the starter motor was to turn in reverse, and second i think the solenoid contacts would break before anything would happen.....

I had the same problem...the alternator went bad. Both the alternator and battery had to be replaced.

take off the top cover on the engine (6 screws), you will see it. it is a canister-type filter

The power steering pump is near the serpentine belt (passenger side, or to the left as you are looking under the hood). If you are just checking the fluid level, find a 2 inch diameter black cap with "POWER STEERING" on it, just above the washer fluid fill.

I disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes. Hook back up and light is off. My problem has been the gas cap gasket- o ring.

I am not sure about this one. I can only assume when you say,"stereo", you are refering to the sound quality of 360 degrees of sound. If thid id your question, then you may have a loose speaker wire connection on the back of the radio. This connecting can only be accessed by physically removing the radio from the alcove in which it sits and thoroughly examining the speaker wire connections. Another possibility is that your antenna may have come unplugged. The antenna is located IN the rear windshield above the defroster veins. I am unsure as to where it connects to as I have only had my XG350L for only a little over 5 months. There are other possibilities. There are two fuse boxes in this vehicle. There is a fuse box in the engine compartment next to the air filter and another fuse box that is very hard to reach under the dashboard on the driver's side. Look for a fuse marked, "Radio" and gently remove it with the pinchers supplied in the engine compartment's fuse box. Do you see a thin piece of metal through the plastic casing that connects the two prongs electrically? This piece of metal should be intact. If it is broken or severed, you will need to replace the fuse. Here is a nice little trick on how to test if a fuse is blow: Fully remove the fuse from the fuse box. Get a 6-volt Lantern battery and a small 12-volt bulb. (An automotive bulb will do. Use a Sylvania 1156 Reverse Lamp bulb.) Place the bulb's metal base on the negative (-) spring of the battery. Place ONE prong of the fuse on the positive (+) spring of the battery. touch the other contact of the fuse to the bottom metal tip of the build while making sure the bulb's metal base is still contacting the (-) spring and one fuse prong is still contacting the (+) spring. If the bulb lights up dimly, the fuse is GOOD. If the bulb does not light at all, the fuse is BAD. If you have tried everything and still cannot get the radio to work, you may have to get a new radio! Sorry for all the details!

Is it truly "garbled" or does it fade out in areas, such as the ends or in the middle?

If it fades out then there are four bulbs that can be replaced inside the computer itself. While I have not yet done it the instructions appear very thorough and straight-forward and can be found at the following link.

To contribute to my own question. I talked with customer service at Crutchfield.com and they advise that a double-din will fit. In fact, the space is larger than a double din. However, the only kit that seems to be out there is for a single-din install. The extra space is taken up by a "catch-all" pocket. They could only suggest checking out local shops for a custom-made install kit.

passenger seat harness is short and pulls wires from connector under the seat.

Tune the radio to a desired station and depress the "radio" button. Station will go quiet for a second and the return as saved.

It is the fuse cluster on the left side of the drivers side below the steering wheel. It is a 20 amp fuse, but if the fuse is good there is also a solder point that acts as a fusable link on the bottom of the cig lighter. If the fuse is good and they still dont work, then you will have to pull them out and pinch the little copper piece with a needle nose and use a lighter to heat it up and it will be as good as new.

Locate the fuse panel under the hood as follows: See the battery? Go up a little. See that black box with what looks like a "button" on it? Twist that button counter-clockwise until it is "wobbly". Open the cover from wheel well side. Check the inside of the cover. The diagram is mapped out exactly as you see it in the box. "WNDW" means "window". I am not sure if there is a "fuse" per se, but there definitely is a relay (Small, grey, cube-sized fuse). If you don't see a fuse, try looking under the dashboard on the driver's side near the door and directly below the cruise control and TCS switches. It should be out in the open, uncovered. The box is yellow-ish in color.

It is the red one to the left of the battery tray, right of the upper/lower coolant hoses.

The Oil Filter is located behind a black protective plastic guard on the Passenger Side directly behind the radiator. Use the appropriate socket wrench and remove the three screws that hold the guard in place. Fully remove the plastic guard and place it somewhere safe. The filter is a Purolator 14459.

In the fuel tank. You can see it through a panel in the floor behind the rear seat, but to get at it you have to remove the fuel tank.

Well, i had the same prob, went to Hyundai dealer, they charged 99$ just for diagnosis and did nothing, even my car jammed while coming back home, i would suggest go to some local service centre who does electronic stuff of cars well, that would be a LOT cheaper than Hyundai dealer who will give you a list of many components to be changed, that are not even supposed to be changed, hope you got my point.
