Aruba's desert-like conditions are primarily due to its location in the rain shadow of the Andes Mountains. The prevailing trade winds that blow from the northeast push moisture away from the island, resulting in limited rainfall. Additionally, Aruba's small size and low elevation contribute to its arid climate.

Examples of three major island arcs are the Aleutians, the Kuriles, Japan, and the Philippines. They clustered around the northern and western borders of the Pacific Plate like a necklace.

If i had an exotic island i would name it Exotica I would name it Sierra 117, like one of my planets (in spore) I would call it the Island of Annuchka ( pronounced A-noosh-ka)

Palikir is the Nation's Capital City located on Pohnpei, the island formerly known as Ponape, which is the most developed island of the Federation. The airport is located on a small island just off the main island of Pohnpei. The population on Pohnpei of around 34,000 is the largest of the states. It is growing in popularity with world surfers who consider the Palikir Pass (aka P-Pass) as one of the best reef pass surfs in the world. The coral reef is also well known by SCUBA enthusiasts and fishermen.

Chuuk, which means "mountain" in Chuukese, was Japan's main base in the South Pacific Theatre in WW2 when it was known as Truk. It is known as one of the world's best shipwreck diving destinations as well as for its brightly colored corals.

Yap, known as Wa'ab to the locals, is the state farthest West and is made up of islands that stretch over 600 miles across the Pacific. It is known as the Island of Stone Money, because they still use stone money for some transactions. It is well known by divers as a place with a population of giant manta rays always available to divers who want to swim with them.

Kosrae is farthest east and incorporates multiple atolls. It is unspoiled and rarely visited. One of its geographical features is a mountain with a shape that has earned the island the name of "The Island of the Sleeping Lady", when viewed from out at sea, it looks like a woman lying down. How to say thank you in Kosraean: "Kulo".

Signs point to 1,500 islands. And most likely true counting all the beautiful uninhabited island and atolls in the FSM. But, there are four main islands that make up the Federation. They are, starting from east to west, Kosrae, Pohnpei, Chuuk, and Yap.

Long Island, according to Wikipedia, is the largest "in the contiguous United States", however biggest in the us (as written in the question) is Hawaii "With an area of 4,028 square miles (10,430 km2)". Prior to Long Island are nine islands in Alaska and all of Puerto Rico.

The UAE has various landforms including deserts, sand dunes, mountains, plains, and coastline. The country is known for its vast stretches of desert, including the Rub' al Khali (Empty Quarter) which is one of the largest sand deserts in the world. There are also rugged mountain ranges such as the Hajar Mountains in the eastern part of the country. The UAE's coastline is characterized by sandy beaches and coral reefs along the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

The Long Island Sound was formed by the retreat of glaciers at the end of the last Ice Age, around 18,000 years ago. As the ice melted and receded, it left behind depressions in the land that eventually filled with water, creating the basin that we know today as the Long Island Sound.
