Because if your family likes someone not in the family more than they like you, it hurts. On the contrary he should be thrilled his family likes his girlfriend. When I first met my second husband he worked nights so I would go Friday nights to visit his parents until he came home. They loved having me there and we had a lot of fun together. My boyfriend (now my husband) was so thrilled by it all. It's time to talk to your boyfriend. Perhaps he was spoiled in the family and all attention was on him and he simply likes to be in the spotlight at all times.

A person i regarded as a friend did this to me. she told my 2 other friends that i said mean things about them behind there backs. but as i was trying to explain to them i physically couldn't. then this particular girl started copying me like on Monday i wore my hair in a braid and then on Tuesday she wore her hair in a braid. she said i was rude and obnoxsush prity
sure i spelt that wrong and i should of never been born. so i told her i couldn't be her friends any more. then in senior school you can buy stickers for your locker so i bought puffy ones and the next day she comes to school with one that were specially printed for her with her name on them and everything and everyone thought there's was better so i said i could not continue to be apart of the group and have never spoken to them again. still to this day do i think she is a bitch but i have learned to put up with her. i hope this helps. just remember to be strong and everything will work out.

Then there are some people that have riches that they share with others. Even lifestyles without money can make another envious. Example: A young man/woman may have chosen a career instead of love and marriage with children and later regret their choice so they envy the woman without the career and has a good marriage with children. The thing is to encourage the person that they are in control of their own lives and although we can't all be millionaires we can certainly make a good life for ourselves and if we don't like the life situation we are in at the present time within reason we have the capability of changing it to make it more interesting.

It's just not some men that do this, but some women as well. Humans were meant to interact with each other and that means getting off your butt, getting out in the world and actually creating a situation where you can ask out someone you care about. Meeting people on the net (other than friends around the world) is a waste of time when it comes to a serious relationship. You just never know who you are talking to and here is a case in point: When we meet someone in person we don't know them 100% (just look at some of the posts on this board) and heck, we don't know ourselves 100%, so where do you think that leaves us on the net. Not in a good place. Can't see the person (they could send any picture, but not one of themselves) and they can tell you what you want to hear. Some people are so lonely they will make up anything to entice that person. Some people are cruel and play games on the net, enticing girls to interact with them in order to make the guy's ego soar and the guy could have a dozen or more girls on the string re the net. The sad thing is, the guy hasn't got what it takes out in the real world. Don't cramp ALL men into this small group of people that play net games with people's feelings. There are some good people out there that are lonely and they do need friends and all of us want to feel loved and cared about. Still, it's can be a dangerous and cruel game on the net. Next guy that says that, tell him to hit the bricks! A guy like that isn't living in the real world.

When the mind does not know the infinite and there are not many infinities, there cannot be many infinities, there is only one infinity.
When the mind does not know the infinite, it lives in tiny-tiny, plural finites. All of these are measurable. The mind continuously keeps taking measure of all these. And because it is not living in the infinite, because it is living in its own limited sense of self, so it is afraid and it will compare. The only one who does not compare is the one who lives in the infinite. Now there can be no comparison, as infinity cannot be compared. Till the time you have any kind of estimation of yourself, you will compare.

And you will always want a higher number till the time there is a number that is important to you.
Do we see this? We always keep measuring ourselves in a thousand ways. Wherever there is a measurement, there is an assumption that you are a limited and a finite entity. And wherever there will be measurement, there would be comparison. And wherever there is comparison, there is jealousy. Finished, simple. So how to get rid of jealousy then? By Observing ourselves in more tangible ways.
