95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited FWD full time takes a while to shift when taking off and after driving about 25 miles in overdrive it acts funny until it cools it is in the transmission can you help?

First do a transmission filter and fluid change. Be sure you use the proper fluid to refill the trans. It seems to call for ATF+3 for the fluid type. If this does not fix it, then you will need to have it checked at a trans shop. They can look to see if it is only a sticky solonoid or needs replacement.

Where is the radiator fan relay on a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

On my 2000 grand cherokee, It was in front of the battery on the fender wall. Remove battery and you should find it. It is under the bumper cover, under the passenger head light. You either have to remove the front bumper, or you remove the headlight and cut an access hole.

How do you tighten the serpentine belt on a 1998 Saturn Sl2?

you don't. This car has an automatic belt tensioner. The spring inside this part is probably worn out. You have to replace the tensioner.

It is also possible that the belt that is now on the engine has stretched beyond the point that the tensioner can compensate for; the belt may feel tight, but not be tight enough. In that case, of course, replace the belt. The Haynes manual has good instructions on how to do that, and the belt is not particularly expensive.

Where is the oil pressure sending unit on the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

On the 4.7 V8 it is above the oil filter, you'll see the wires going to it.

I checked and it is a 1 1/16" deep socket for the sending unit.

Why will the heater control unit lights not work in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee the rest of the dash radio control lights work.?

I'm not of much help here, but I am having the same problem with my 05 Cherokee. The lights slowly fade from the right to the left. I replaced that whole section, which cost $75 for parts. It was ok for about a month, but now it is starting again!

Where can you find the brake light fuse of a 1990 Cadillac Brougham?

In the fuse block, under the lefthand end of instrument panel, beneath a plastic panel fastened with two screws. This fuse is shared by the hazard system - check first if the hazard lights work, if they do the fuse is ok and the fault elsewhere (brake light switch possibly).

How do you know if you have a bad or weak starter or starter solenoid or relay in your 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

I am having my starter replaced on my 94 Jeep G Cherokee too. The nice tow guy helped me troubleshoot, finally banged on the starter while I cranked the engine and *voila* it was running.

The problem began when the engine wouldn't crank at all when I turned on the ignition. At first I thought it might have to do with the alarm system or the shifter so I tried grounding the battery cable to reset the alarm, did the turn left/right 2x trick on the driver side door and also the rear hatch. Nothing. Jiggled the shifter a bit because sometimes if it's not in Park properly, I've had the engine not fire up. Still nothing.

I thought it might be the battery, although usually if it's the battery you can hear the engine turn at least. When I was trying the ignition I'd get hardly any noise though, just deadness. The tow guy tried jumpstarting and said the battery was fine.

Then he banged on the starter with a wrench and that helped fire up the engine. I've taken my Jeep to an auto shop to get the starter replaced.

Sounds like you want to differentiate between problems with the starter, starter solenoid, and relay. Sorry, dunno about the last two. Good luck!

What would cause the auto door locks to engage continuously and at the same time the interior and dash lights flash while driving?

I had this very problem not long ago on my '96 lerado. The problem I had, was the door switch on the inside of the door. The door was not pushing it in all the way. The door was not loose so all I was able to do was shim up the switch. I loosened it up and placed a flat washer behind the top and bottom of it. To find out which door is causing the problem turn the key on shut all of the doors and pull on the door until the light comes on. It shouldn't take much pressure. I hope this helps.

Why when you apply the brakes with the headlights on would the brake lights go out on a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

I had this same issue on a 2000 model. After checking voltages at the rear lamps with no differences between the two sides, I then swapped the two brake light asseblies. The right side was not working when the lights were on and the brakes were applied, it still did not work when plugged into the left side, but my left side still worked when plugged into the right side. So, that left only the brake light assembly to be faulty. I ordered one off of Ebay, and replaced it with no other problems, except the left went out a few months later!! Try swapping the two asseblies and see if you get the same results.
