LOCK CYLINDER Removal1.Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove horn/trim cover retaining screws from back of steering wheel. Remove steering wheel. Disconnect horn wiring. On models with round horn button, pull button upward and remove horn components. 2.Remove steering wheel retaining nut and vibration dampener. Can you drive your 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with Quadratrac without the front driveshaft?
Yes
AnswerYou can for a little while but it is not good for the t-case. I did it with mine and it when i'd step on the gas i could feel that it wasnt putting all of the power to the rear wheels but kept trying to spin the front but with no driveshaft it didnt do anything. This will wear out the clutches and stuff on the inside. I also talked to a Jeep mechanic who said its no good. Its probably similar to how you can't tow a quadratrac jeep with a car dolly. It has to be towed with all the tires on the ground or off the ground otherwise it wears out the t-case. I just installed a new t-case to get the 2-wheel drive and can definitely tell the difference between the quadratrac with no front driveshaft and real 2-wheel drive.Jeep rear door wont close how do you release lock?
Access in rear door panel, allows you to lock/inlock rear door.
I think it works as a full time four wheel drive system, so it is a true four wheel drive.
i have a 93 and i unplugged the maroon box under the steering colum
How do you fix a condensation leak on the passenger floor of a 2000 jeep Cherokee?
Sounds like you may have to replace your heater core, they are located under the dash. If yours has a small leak (starting to go bad) you will have to replace it or you will end up with a major leak and no ac/heat and will fry your engine. Check with your mechanic on this one. Maybe.... but if it is just condensation you can locate the drain tube on ther passenger side firewall and stick a piece of wire up it until the water runs out. Most of the time dust and leaves will block the drain and cause the water to leak out onto the floor.

No coolant, temperature rising a fact!! Are you certain you are loosing anti freeze? Simple fact, if you are loosing coolant you will experience overheating. You will have blown head gaskets or a complete engine failure. You must be catching it before it gets this far. The cause could be from a leaky hose connection, faulty cracked coolant hose, leaking heater core, leaking head or water gaskets, leaking water pump, hole in radiator. I may be over looking other causes, but I would check for leaks before it is too late. I have a mustang 5.0 that looses anti freeze very slowly. I can tell when it is getting low, before the warning light comes on, by the cooling fan coming on more frequently than normal. The leak is so slight I can not find it. If you are not sure you are loosing anti freeze and the temperature is rising, you may have a faulty temp. control on your cooling fan not letting it come on soon enough or at all. You do not need the cooling fan while moving or operating in cool climates.
What evaporates when you put vinyl in the air?
I think you're probably talking about the plasticizer. A common one would be dioctyl phthalate, but there are others.

How do you get more horsepower out of a 4.0l inline six motor?
first you could buy a performance intake system such as a K&N cool air intake. second you could buy a performance exhaust system such as flowmaster, magna flow, and Gibson also would suggest performance headers with max air flow low resistance. there are more ways to but it involves a complete engine overhaul such as possibly boreing the cylinders to get bigger performance pistons, performance connecting rods, performance piston rings, performance ignition system, performance valves and springs, and also there is a chip for the computer for some models that will increase horsepower. those are just some ways of increasing horse power they are many more ways. consult a performance shop for recomendations for proper parts and procedures.
How do you know if fuses are blown?
in a vehicle if fuses are blown a light comes on on your dash board . the light will indicate exactly what part , controlled by the fuse is affected. look at the fuse box it should have written on the face cover a guide to all fuses. pull out the fuse......inside is a thin wire ....if the wire is broken the fuse is no good. however in an emergency you can use a thin piece of wire , probably taken from your stereo speakers, use no more than three strands, and wrap it around the metal points of the fuse connecting both metal points and reinsert into the fuse holder . remember this is for emergencies only and is a short term solution. hope i have helped
How to replace headlights on 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?
Answer Answer there is a bezel piece going around the headlight. you must remove this bezel (sometimes you have to remove the turn signal light as well) and you will see a metal ring that holds the light in place. be careful as there are two sets of screws...one set adjusts the light and the other removes the ring. drop the ring down and remove the light. installation is the opposite of removal. hope this is right...that's how it's done on a '94. Answer On my 95 GC you just grab the headlight lens housing and pull it out. It has two plastic pieces that snap onto two studs that hold lens housing into place. Once you get it out you unscrew a plastic nut and twist and remove the headlight bulb. Then reverse the process to put it back. Answer I have a 96 Jeep...You just unplug the wire to the back of the headlight. Grab the headlight and pull. There are three snaps two on the bottom and one on the top. I used a little grease on the new snaps. Clean socket and push head light back into place making sure all three snap into place. It took me 15 minutes to complete the drivers side. You have to take the Battery out to get the other wire off the head light on the passanger side. I did not have to use any wrenches to complete this job. Al Sautner Answer Ok, My wife has a 95 GC that used to be my Dads. Driver Side: Unplug the wire from the back of the bulb. Locate the light colored ring that is around the bulb base (aprox 2.5" dia.) Rotate that ring until you can pull it off to the rear. Wiggle/rotate the base of the bulb and it will work its way out of the back of the headlight housing. Reverse process to install new bulb. Same procedure for Pass side, but start by removing the battery (I have heard you have to leave them disconnected for 10-15 minutes for the computer to fully reset before you reattach it) Just did this 10 minutes ago fyi :) .................... All of the answers above are Correct for 94-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Some have the bezel, others do not. Honestly you do not have to unscrew those shafts, it is a snap-on ball on the end of the screw adjustment shaft that connects to the plastic retainer on the Light Housing, 2 or 3 connectors depending on the model. Try not to break the housing, but it will come off with a strong tug or pry with a bar, first one side then the other. If you are just chamging the bulb then the above is also correct about untwisting the ring collar and removing the bulb, from the rear, (inside the engine compartment); remember to reinstall the ring onto the bulb and to not touch the glass bulb.
