It's a blown fuse. The fuse panel should be under the dash on the driver's side. If it happens frequently after replacing the fuse you have a short somewhere which means you should take it to a repair facility.

There should be a fuse box panel located on the front passenger side footwell area. Take off the cover and check fuse # 20. A diagram of the fuse layout should be on the backside of the cover. It's a 15 amp fuse and lt. blue in color. If your radio is exhibiting erratic memory loss, check under the hood in the power distribution center. Be certain that the IOD maxi fuse (#7) is firmly seated. Good luck!

Under the hood on the driverside of the Cherokee is the PCM or Powertrain Control Module. The Transmission Control Module or TCM is under the dash on the driverside. It's actually kinda of small, I would guess 4 inches by 3 inches. with what look like wings coming off the sides and two bolts.

Locate and press the tab or button where the wiper blade is inserted into the hook of the wiper arm and pull wiper blade out of hook. You may have to rotate and flex the blade to make enough clearance for the hook to pass through.

Pop hood. There is a torx head visible from the top at the edge of the fender--believe its like a T-20 or T-25. The second one is a bit more difficult---gonna have to slide the torx head screwdriver between the marker (side) lens and the turn signal at the front of the vehicle. There is another torx screw, same size, in there. once removed, just pull out the lens. Install is reverse.

The idler pulley is located just under the A/C compressor. There is a bolts in the middle of the pulley that needs to be removed and the idler pulley can be removed. Sometimes these bolts stick and my need to be pryed off. You may also want to removed the radiator fans cow to give you some extra room.

Hey Chris==Some radator repair shops repair evaporator cores but I persomally am not a fan of it. If it rotted through in one place I don't think it will be long until ti rots through at another. It is a big job to replace it plus you have to have a refrigerant recycler to dispose of the refrigerant. Goodluckjoe

More than likely the blend door has or is about to break off. Common problem on '98-'04 grand cherokees. A full explanation is offered on a website called heatertreater.net . Very useful. Pictures and videos show the problem quite clearly.

The engine might if they are both 4.0's. That would be about it.

It is a small computer inside the dashborad, almos behind the head light switch, it contros wiper blades, and some electrical thing of the jeep, it also stores the the vehicles mileage history, changing this will change your odometer reading.

According to the Service manual for that year you need to remove the compressor shaft bolt. A band-type oil filter wrench may be used to hold the assembly still. Once the bolt is removed, tap the clutch plate with a plastic or non-metal hammer to disloodge the plate from the splines on the compressor shaft. Now you should see the pulley. There is a snap-ring holding it on. Use a pair of straight-tip pliers to remove the ring. The pulley should be able to come off at this point.

There are 2. upstream and downstream. they require a special tool(slotted socket that allows removal without breaking wire connection. Very easy though. just unscrew and remove, just dont break wire connection.

yes the input shaft may be different. just check to see if the lengths are the same and check how many splines the out put shaft has. VERY EASY TO DO. if they are the same SWAP THEM OUT! make sure the cases are the same model number. look at the red tag on your transfer case. it should say np242j, np249j or np231j.

Both the 4.0L and the 4.7L engines take 6 qts.

look next to the firewall on the head . just under the valve cover and it will only have one wire going to it There are actually TWO on my 1996 4.0L XJ. One on the front - top of the head, and one on the driver's side-top of the head next to the rockerbox. The front sensor feeds the computer, the side sensor feeds the idiot light or temperature gauge.

No, grand Cherokee 93-98 (ZJ) have the same 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern as the Cherokee (XJ). also the comanchee (MJ) wrangler (YJ and TJ models) 1st gen libertys (KJ) as well as ford explorer and ranger.The newer grand Cherokees (WJ 99-04 and WK 05-2010). as well as the new wrangler (JK both 2 door and 4) all use the 5 on 5 bolt pattern.

It is located on the front of the radiator. If you look through the grill (at the radiator) you can see it. It is just off center toward the passenger side.

It is a very small black piece of plastic. It looks like there is a short straw coming off the top of it.

The crank sensor should be located down next to the crank shaft, Right side of car They are hard to see, and i think you have to remove the crank pully to get the sensor out, this is a comon problem on the 3.8 L Gm. eng Not a very expensive part, Usualy the car won't start when faulty

You blew the voltage regulator. Depending on the model, it is either a separate component or located inside of your alternator. Based on your problem, I would guess you need a new alternator. Replace it and your car will be fine.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable
2. Drain the cooling system if coolant is still pretty new save it
3. Loosen the hose clamps then detach the radiator hoses from the fittings on the radiator.If they arestuck grasp each hose near the end with a pair of channelock pliers and twist it to break the seal then pull it off be careful not to distort the radiator fittings if the hoses are old or deteriorated replace them.
4. On four cylinder and V6 models disconnect the reservoir hose from the radiator filler neck
5. On four cylinder and V6 models remove the screws that attach the fan shroud to the radiator and slide the shroud toward the engine.On inline six models equipped with auxiliary electric cooling fans remove the electric fan.On all inline six models remove the mounting bolts for the mechanical fan shroud lift the shroud up until it clears the slots in the bottom bracket of the radiator then push the shroud over the fan
6. If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic disconnect the cooler lines from the rear of the radiator use a drip pan to catch spilled fluid
7. Plug the lines and fittings
8. Remove the radiator mounting bolts and carefully lift radiator out of vehicle
