Management should ensure quality front-line staff and that the staff have the equipment and supplies to do the job and a clear idea as to what is expected. Then management should let them do their job without unnecessary interference which unfortunately often happens so that managers can be seen to do something.

The crime scene technician is the individuals whom do the investigative work. First, they collect the evidence. Then they evaluate what each piece is. Last they determine how all of the pieces fit to the crime.

That really depends on their occupation. Captain is normally the rank held by a Company Commander. A Captain could also be a staff officer, there could be doctors who hold the rank of Captain, etc. Some Captains are in command positions; some are not.

Okay, to answer this question, let's break it into two questions: What is a detective, and what is homicide?

A detective, also known as an investigator, is a police officer whose job is to investigate crimes. They often interview witnesses and suspect(s) in order to solve a case (crime).

Homicide is defined as the taking of one life by a member of the same species (homo= same, -cide = to kill). A homicide ranges from one of two justifiable offenses (self-defense or accident), to one of several degrees of criminal homicide, which severity of offense ranges from manslaughter by culpable negligence to capital murder.

So a homicide detective, or homicide investigator, in short, is a police officer who is a member of the Homicide division of a law-enforcement agency, and accordingly, whose job is to investigate homicide cases.

A specialist that works for the National Security Agency holds a very serious position. These individuals are often responsible for the safety and well being of government officials, diplomats, and other leaders within a country.

It would depend on whether the attorney has a private practice or is employed by a legal firm, corporation, government agency, etcetera. Physically, we are what our DNA determines us to be. My hair colour was determined when I was conceived, so was my skin- and eye-colour. Whether I would be tall or short was also determined then. When animals mate, one half of the male's DNA is matched with one half of the female's. These halvings don't always follow the same pattern. There is no rule-of-thumb on this. Cosmetologists are subject to the same labor laws as everyone in the US. Otherwise, it's up to the employer and the job. It could be 20 hours/week, 40 hours/week or 60 hours/week.
