Change oil on 2007 Kia Rio?

Too vague? You want to know "how"? It's generally the safe for most vehicles. You want to get the car on a lift, and not use jack stands....as the old oil will "pool" and not completely drain out.

But there's a drain plug under the front of the car that you unscrew, make sure you got a pan underneath to catch it....

Let it drain, then add some oil first, to let the "new" oil drain out the rest of the old stuff, incase it didn't all come out. Then tighten the drain plug underneath and proceed to add your 3.5-4 qts of oil.

I know it's extremely vague, you might check wikihow.com - they got a good howto there

Where is the starter on a 2002 Kia Rio?

The starter on a 2002 Kia Rio is locared on the back side of the engine under the intake manifold. Just about the only way to even see it is from underneath. It is fairly small. (About the size of a can of soup) It has two wires going to it. A large battery wire and a smaller connector to engage the starter. Disconnect you battery ground wire before doing anything with the starter.

answer

  • Raise the front of your Kia off the ground with a jack. Make sure it is high enough to work under, then position a set of jack stands under the front suspension to support the car

  • Position yourself under the passenger's side of the car and locate the starter on the engine. The Rio has a support bracket under the starter that you need to remove before you can remove the starter.

With a wrench set! Well actually it is simple, first remove the air cleaner assembly and battery, then unplug all the sensors, drain radiator and remove hoses, remove all vacuum lines tie the ac compressor out of the way remove it and the PS pump from the block, then unbolt the exhaust manifold and unbolt the two bolts that secure the oil pan to the exhaust downpipe, remove the starter, then loosten all the bolts securing the oil pan to the transmission, remove the torque converter bolts (if AT) loosten the bolts securing the engine to the transmission, with the engine hoist supporting the engine weight remove the engine mount, if it is an automatic make sure you separate the engine from the torque converter.

It is not really that hard or complicated, just requires patience if you are unfamilar with the procedures it may be helpful for you to review the procedures in a chilton or hanes manual, if none are available check the procedures for a Mazda protege, kia sephia, or a ford escort GT since all these cars and your kia Rio use the Mazda BG designed engine

TO ADD TO THIS: If you have to ask here, i would recommend you NOT take on this task unless you have an experienced mechanic available.

How do you replace a tail light bulb on a 1997 Honda Passport?

You will see some screws around the light cover and you will need a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws. Take the cover off. Unscrew the old bulb (if you do this at a parts store like Auto Zone you can have them help you or take the bulb in to see which one you need to replace it or look in their manual in the store to see what bulb size you need). Screw in the new lightbulb. Put the screws back in. Seriously, you needed to know how to do this? Seriously.

How do I fix my broken heater fan switch that's in the car on my 2004 Kia Rio?

I had the same problem. Mine was loose, If you can push on it to make it work then yours is loose too. Remove the cluster with all the cables and wiring harnesses. Take

a close look at it from behind and push on it and you will see where it is loose. Take

a clamp like a C clamp and clamp it tight and mix up some epoxy and cement that sucker from coming loose. If yours doesn't seem to have this exact problem then order just the fan switch from Kia. You don't have to buy the whole cluster from what a friend of mine told me. The part isn't to bad, I think it was under 25 bucks.

How many miles per tank of gas does a 2003 Kia rio get?

I have had my Kia Rio for two years. My average city driving gets about 30 mpg and highway about 38-39 mpg. I don't have cruise control so if I installed it my mileage would be even better. If you get less than 26 mpg inside the city, you probably need a new air filter. My kia loves to have a brand new filter at least once a year. And like most cars, change your oil every 3000-5000 miles, and before and after long road trips.

they have a cable clutch, so you will have to find where the cable connects to the motor and transmission and there will be a nut on the end of the clutch cable.....tighten the nut ...but not too much you will have to tighten a little and see if that's enough however normally it is the begining of the end when you have to do that.

it can be a simple problem as coroded batery cables/terminals and or a loose conecion at the starter.even a bad ground could cause that problem. another common cause is a misaligned or faulty neutral safety switch. try putting your vehicle on neutral and try starting it then.

Remove the wheel. Using a punch, tap out the dented nut locking ring. Remove the axle nut. Remove the cotter pin and nut on the steering rod and pop the steering rod off using a suitable puller or try tapping on the nut (not the threads). Remove the two ball joint nuts and bolts (17MM) Pull the assembly off the half shaft and tie it off to the side. Give a good hard yank on the old shaft to pull it out of the tranny. Install the new half-shaft in reverse order.
