He did research together with Dr. Matthew N. Levy in how the autonomic nervous system influences the heart's force of contraction to help regulate blood pressure.

He used his gastrointestinal research background, in the laboratory of Dr C.S. Tidball, to later help develop some Biomathematical foundations to understand what factors are important in determining if a given generic drug is equivalent to the original brand name product. Thus he was one of the professionals that helped start reducing the cost of prescription drugs.

Chloride is one of the electrolytes. It is a negatively charged molecule which works with other electrolytes, such as potassium, sodium, and carbon dioxide , to keep the appropriate amounts of body fluids in the appropriate places and to and maintain the body's acid-base balance Certain factors are known to increase it such as: 1. Drugs, especially some of the ones that decrease pressure in the eye for glaucoma patients. Also acetazolamide, ammonium chloride, androgens, cortisone, estrogen, guanethidine, methyldopa, and NSAIDs can all increase chloride. 2. Dehydration often causes an increased chloride level when water is loss in excess of chloride ion. 3. Repspiratory alkalosis and metabolic acidosis both increase chloride. 4. Certain types of kidney problems such as RTA or renal tubular acidosis. 5. Bromide is very similar to chloride and too much bromine will cause high chloride. Low chloride is seen in some conditions as well. 1. Severe burns cause loss of electrolytes especially chloride 2. Addison's disease (Adrenocortical hypofunction) 3. CHF or congestive heart failure cause fluid retention and low chloride. 4. Sweating leads to chloride loss so if that is excessive chloride will be low. 5. There is HCL or hydrochloric acid in the stomach. When this is removed by an NG tube as often is the case in the hospital, it must be replaced or there will be low chloride levels. For the same reason, excess vomiting will also cause low chloride. 6. Respiratory acidosis once it is compensated for will cause low chloride. 7. SIADH or syndrome of inappropriate ADH secretion. 8. Taking in or receiving by IV too much fluid can do it too. So over hydration is a cause. 9. Metabolic alkalosis 10. Some drugs such as bicarbonate containing compounds, some diuretics, and triamterene. 11. Some types of kidney problems cause a loss of salt, such as salt losing nephritis.

Possibly, but I wouldn't bet on it. The amount of water you drink has no bearing on the metabolism of your body (i.e.- the speed at which it clears itself of impurities).

While water has no immense effect on detox, Oxycontin or oxycodone is water soluble and water does increase metabolic rate.(I'll get back to this later) If you use infrequently then the maximum that it would remain in your system would be 2-4 days for a lab test(commonly used by court systems). At maximum for frequent and high milligram doses is 5-7. However for the majority of tests those who do not test specifically for oxycodone is 3 days. I am certain of these answers because I myself am currently going through court drug tests and no matter the amount I used 7 days has cleared my system for lab UA's. Now to return to the question at hand, will water flush my system. No it will not necessairly flush your system but urine sample can be diluted. For example if you drink 1 gallon a day while upping your salt, vitamin b2 and creatine intake you may dilute your urine so that less toxins are emitted by your liver hence causing negative results while not raising suspicion. All drug tests have cutoff levels measured in nanograms with opiates, this level is usually about 300 because opiates are naturally produced with in your body. To put this more clearly, you may throw off lab results with water but in most states they check for this, causing a failed result. They do this by checking sodium levels as well as creatine levels diminished by a system flush.

Summary on detection time: Usually a 5-panel test is administered. Labs work usually with a 7-panel dipstick test and if a person fails, the urine is more closely analyzed for concrete results using more sophisticated measures.

Sorry for the long drawn out response but being a user myself, I wanted to shed some truth on a frequently sought answer. To wrap this all up drug detection times frequently vary based on many things about a person ie weight, metabolic rate, food intake, amount and frequency of use....etc etc. The best way to not fail/ pass a drug test is not to do them period.

YES Oxycontin shows up as opiates on a drug test and methadone shows up as methadone. Methadone is a synthetic opiate that is why it shows up different than Oxycontin.
