To program a Mazda # remote first open the driver car door and leave open, then lock and Unlock the drivers door using the power door lock switch on the door. Put your key into the ignition and turn it on then off and repeat this 3 times in 10 seconds. Leaving the key in the off position, open and close your driver's side door 3 times, and leave door open. You should hear a locking and unlocking once then press #1 on remote and doors should lock and unlock.

From what I've found via Google and Mazda Forums, it's located behind the glove box. It's a box and has 1 major wire harness attached and 4 32 pin wires attached to it. I'll be looking into that later on today. Had two problems with my Ex's Mazda 3. This is one, the other it looks like is the Clutch Pedal Ignition Lock Switch.

Testing to see if the BCM is bad is just putting a load on the BCM to see if it'll fail. I'm going to turn everything on let it run and see if I can replicate the very random times it fails.

Also, one last thing on the BCM. It supposedly needs to be programmed. I'll call my friend, ASE Mechanic and Genius to find out the details on Monday. Until then, just getting it to fail while I'm there is easier than trying to figure out the symptoms 3rd party.

Not very difficult, I just did it yesterday on my 08!

The filter housing is located on the drivers side of the car at the very front.

You must take off three plastic components before you can access the air filter housing.

1st take off the plastic piece in the corner. It has three screws holding it in place. If you need directions look where the base of the hood support rod (the thing holding your hood up) connects to the car...one of the screws is 3 inches up from there.

Once that piece is off then take off the batterys plastic cap. Its only held on by a few plastic clips...so un-click them and pop off the cap.

After that you must remove the plastic piece that looks to me like a ventilator for the battery. It zig zags from the front of the car into the battery housing. Now that you have those other 2 pieces off it just slides up and out easily!

Once all that stuff is out of the way you will have somewhat easy access to the air filter housing...I say somewhat because its still quite tight in there.

You must un-clip 4 metal clips which hold the lid down first...then carefully pop the top off. Be careful not to put too much force on it as there are a bunch of electrical connections you could damage if you yank on it.

Once its all un-clipped and opened you can grab the old air filter and pull it out...and drop your new one in.

I found it took a bit of playing to make sure the new one was sitting right and to get the cap back on snugly.

After that simply replace all those plastic pieces in the order you took them off. Hope that helps!

There is no scheduled mileage or time mentioned in any manual for Timing Chain replacement.

You need 3 connections, (+) key on, (-) ground, and (+) reverse. The auto dimming mirror looks for (+)on the sense line so it can automatically lighten up when the vehicle is placed in reverse. If running a wire from your backup light circuit isn't appealing, then you can just leave it out, but the mirror needs a switched 12v supply and a ground. Some mirrors also have a compass and a thermometer.

With it being A new car, We could guess all day, It is likely just A part that was not tested very well by the manufacturer and it lasted the now couple hundred miles before it failed, But, I will bet money that it is under waranty, let the dealer deal with it, and see if you can get some free stuff out of the deal, Like A oilchange or 10% off purchase in the parts dept.

The fuel filter is located in a bracket bolted to the frame behind the right hand rear wheel. It can be seen with the wheel on but to repace it you will need to remove the wheel.

First, you need to pin down which sensor you're talking about: the one used by the dashboard, or the one used by the computer.

One of them is on the thermostat. I'm not sure which of the two it is. But you can find the thermostat by following the big hoses from the radiator, and then look for an electrical plug... this drawing shows what it looks like on one of the engines:

The other one may be screwed into the upper part of the radiator, I'm not sure. It may be that one which drives the dashboard indicator.
