i am in norther bc canada working as a utility welder, it is my first year because im just an apprentace. but i have heard it can be pretty cold and as long as we can pre heat something we can weld it so we can be working in like -20 and that gets pretty cold, cuz if its colder we wont have to work. but most welding jobs are in a shop where its warm and when you welding it warms you up pretty good anyways. just try to move around alot and youll stay nice and toasty.

An unfired pressure vessel is a container that holds a substance at high pressure, but is not heated from an external heat supply. This might be a pressure tank, such as an air tank. These hold a great deal of mechanical energy, depending on the operating pressures. IF the tank is over pressurized, or fails due to corrosion, damage, etc, the energy contained in the pressurized contents is all released at once, tearing the tank apart, injuring people in the area, and damaging property nearby. One spectacular failure of a liquid nitrogen tank in a university lab cracked the concrete floor, blew tile off the floor in a 20 ft circle (embedding tile into the walls) and blew the tank through the upper floors of the lab into the penthouse, destroying the water pipes for the building.

Passing a single value to a function is often just a simple integer. But passing an array, character string or other data structure is typically "pass by reference", or in other words, the calling statement will 'point to' the place in memory where the data structure resides.
When a function is called using a pointer to a data structure, both the calling environment and the called function are referencing the same data; any changes made to the data in the structure by the function will have changed the data that the original calling environment sees.

Tac welding is not a specific material. Tac welding is a form of welding, that welder's use in order to hold two pieces' of metal together to get a proper fit. The tac weld can be easily broken if the two pieces' of metal aren't in the right place. So if you tac weld anything, the filler is going to be whatever material you are welding.

There are two main controlling factors in this process

When an investment casting sets it generally shrinks upto a few millimetres from its cast size. Depending on the complexity of the component being made more advanced machinery or more skilled die makers may be required to produce the required shape. In a premium casting upto 1/8 of a millimetre is attainable- to achieve this however there will high set up costs due to the following items. When designing the die to accomodate for post-cast shrinkage the number and complexity of calculations and simulations will be large. The cost and machining time for the die cutting, and the cost of the materials involved will be much higher. The die will require a long post-process, both before production commences and between batches to maintain die consistency and quality. For a commercial standard casting this tolerance will be around +/- 0.5mm depending on the complexity of shape. On the lowest budget this can grow to as high as +/- 2mm. All the above applies for castings <0.5kg.
